Lettuce question

I know lettuce is unlimited but do you have to eat it at lunch and dinner? I feel like I need a break and is it ok to have it once a day? I'm not feeling hungry so it's hard to keep stuffing it in.

My coach told me that lettuce is optional and I don't need to eat it if I'm not hungry.
