Good Morning Lisa! Just finished my first IP breakfast. I will be shopping for veggies and protein tonight after work, so I am working on my shopping list - I love all the great recipes on here. I am so looking forward to LamberJules' Shepherds Pie!

Quick question: Does anyone premake any of the IP packets? I know I saw someone premade the Chicken Pottage so it had time to completely rehydrate, but are there any other packets I should do that with? What about making puddings before work and taking them for lunch? If I do make something ahead of time, how long will it last? Thank you!

WI #5, down another 4 lbs this week! I have now lost 20 lbs and I'm at 40 % of my goal to lose 50 lbs! It is getting easier as I continue to stock the fridge with good veggies and proteins.

My clinic was out of 3 things I wanted to buy this week. Since they only sell by the box it is frustrating. I have been knocking around the idea to try alternatives due to price and that way I can afford some variety. I hate to buy a box of food and be stuck eating it all week if I hate it. That definitely is a factor when trying to stay OP.

Good luck to everyone this week. Lisa, your photo is so pretty. You look really young!

Check the recipe threads out this weekend ( you'll probably be back at the store)
There are links in the first post of this thread
I pre-made my soups with veggie purée for MONTHS before I gave up soy.
I pre-make my zucchini muffins made with one of theses packets: any pudding, potato purée, or maple oatmeal.
I pre made rainbows focaccia bread too.
I did a lot of packet hacks before I moved to p3, especially after I gave up soy because it greatly reduced my savory options and I don't like everything to be sweet.
If you want pre-made pudding, why not just buy the ready-made?

Be sure to buy cauliflower and zucchini. I usually buy 2-3 heads of cauliflower at a time AND frozen cauliflower. This stuff is just so versatile.

Default Well HELLO 160's

I feel that I am now within reach of my goal. Only 9 more pounds. Had a great OP week and it showed on the scale with a 4 pound loss. Time to celebrate with a Rhubarb Crisp with WF strawberry Syrup tonight. Wishing everyone else much success this weekend.

Good morning

Had my 7th WI last night, and my biggest loss (aside from the 1st week)- 3.8 lbs! For a total of 25 lbs And this week inches even came off...it's been a few weeks since that's happened, although my arms and thighs haven't budged. May need to start weight training.

So far i've been keeping OP using the packets the way they are, mostly because my work hours are so long that I do not have the strength for anything more than pouring in some water and shaking when I get home, but i'm seeing so many great recipes in the link that I may try a couple this weekend, especially since we're hosting bbq's, and I can't eat the cheesecake that i'm making for everyone else!

Have a great OP weekend!

That is boredom calling. We have gotten so used to munching, we have to learn other behaviors if we're ever going to learn to keep it off!

Congrats on the WI!
Clinics that are not well stocked are definitely frustrating and have led more than one person to alts. I have long said we are paying for SERVICE. if we don't get it, we move along.
Thanks for the compliment! I had a BIG birthday this year and hoping I can stay younger looking than my age.

Hi Jodi,
Congratulations on the loss! You are doing very well with this.
Don't worry about just using the packets. I have not been a real adventurous recipe user when it came to breakfast or lunch, and I didn't feel deprived or like it was all the same - or if I did, I liked it anyway. LOL much of my modifications were adding SF syrup to vanilla ready to drink shakes. I did make pancakes at the beginning and was hooked on them for a month or two, then I couldn't eat another one - they still don't appeal to me anymore. I think our tastes change so much during P1, and what you like today you may not like as much next week. So as long as you are happy and not tired of the same ol' thing - just go with it. Hey, 5 more days for my one year anniversary on IP (alternative brands).
I will say I made/make Kale Chips. They are great for trips as they don't need to stay cold (but check your teeth as you get a lot of little green bits hanging around - lol DH tried to fool me when I asked if I had stuff in my teeth as I headed out the door.... good thing I checked the mirror in the car!) Kale chips are condensed though, so they don't fill you up as much, if you really like them as I do, 2 cups is not much when they are dried.
Keep up the good work!
Barb

Barb- thanks for the encouragement and advice Do you measure out the 2 cups of kale after you've dried/baked them, or before? I'm not a fan of kale in raw form, but i'll definitely try the chips. I feel like I eat the same exact thing every day, and want to start trying some new things so that my body doesn't get into a rut.

Congrats to A1Texan!!! Victory is so close i bet it tastes sweet!!!

Lisa: yes it is boredom. Living in the south does not help either as it's really hot to go out and do anything outdoor. But husband and have i made plans to see friends this weekend so getting out will help with the afternoon munchies!!
this weekend will be a good start to start thinking in what to do to keep away from food and learn new habbits to last the rest of our lives. time to think of hobbies!!!

Good morning fellow IPers.

I am back after a week of struggling to get back to ketosis after slipping when mom had her surgery. Things were only worsened by TOM and finding out that one extra packet wasn't enough to ward off "starvation mode" after my hike with dad this past weekend.

After WI this week, I am back to where I was before, so that is good, and it has been determined that when dad and I go hike again, that I will try two packs extra that day to see if that makes a difference.

Still being told to get in more water, this is after drinking 5-6 16oz bottles per day.....good grief, how much do I need to be drinking? Keep in mind, this does not include the one I drink to cover my morning caffeine.....
