Honestly, it's person by person. Some people say they lose better if they have the restricted, others say the opposite. For some people (like me) it's more of the temptation -- if the bars or chips are there, it's hard to just have one some days. I know Lisa also finds that many of the restricted treats are sweet, and she is trying to get rid of the "sweet" aspect as it seems to bring on more cravings. That makes sense to me as I know that's what happens to me too.
So think about what's best for you. Try it with the restricteds-- the plan is meant to have them afterall -- and if you get to a time when you don't feel the same loss, maybe try a week or two Restricted-free and see if it kick starts things a bit?? Just an idea....
If you're not tempted to overindulge, the restricteds add a nice treat to the day.
