Not losing when...

Has anyone found that you do not lose during the time you are ovulating? I am not on any birth control so I can tell when I am ovulating and I have found that I am not losing weight during those few days/week...has anyone else found this...because I am getting VERY frustrated!

yes that happens to me, and yes I am frustrated when it happens. I find that I am still struggling with staying on program

During that time we can retain a lot of water weight. I personally gain 3-5 pounds. I always say I only get 2 good weigh ins a month.

This scale measures overall weight loss not fat loss. We cannot let the scale let us get frustrated. Doing this plan is about way more than just what the scale says. If you're finding the scale frustrating, go to biweekly or even monthly weigh-ins, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose. Keep the focus on staying on plan

This is me! However, I can tell I am still loosing fat during those two weeks, just not pounds.

The trade off is a big whoosh after ovulation or time of the month.

I believe there's an old thread around here somewhere (not in the IP forum, possibly in general chatter) where monthly cycle, hormonal weight gain/non-loss patterns were discussed.

To the best of my recollection, some women noticed weight gains or non-food related stalls around ovulation, some during TOM or a few days before, and some lucky ladies experienced gains/stalls both at ovulation and TOM.

For myself, I usually gain up to 10 blasted pounds, over the course of several days before and into my period (before birth control helped stabilize my pms hunger, at my highest weight,, I would gain up tp 15, but some of that would be diet-related).

For most of my post-pubescent life, my period weight gain would generally be about half water weight that would disappear by periods end; and the other half would be actual fat weight due to hormonal hunger. I would gain during pms/tom week and then have to spend the rest of the month trying to lose. Every month weight loss was 2 or three steps forward and one step back. That my cycle was only 23 - 25 days long, didn't give me much of a weight loss window. I avoided bc for decades because of the weight gain risk, but it turned out to be helpful, in part because it helped suppress hormonal appetite and by increasing my cycle to 28 days also expanded my window of opportunity for weight loss.
