WI day for me as well and I start phase 3 tomorrow!! I'm really nervous but excited to have some new foods!! Good luck
I'm a couple of days into Week 4. I have been feeling great, not hungry & with lots more energy -- but yesterday I felt tired, a little hungry (felt tempted to eat an extra bar), and had a slight headache. It seemed to me I had heard that week 4 could be difficult, but can't find mention of that. Is this typical?
I have been staying OP but last Thurs-Sat was EXTREMELY stressful -- can stress throw your body out of ketosis?
Yesterday was my first weigh in after starting back on IP the previous Monday. After 1 week, I'm down 7.4 pounds! I feel so energetic excited to be back at it! My husband has been very encouraging and has been working out with me as well. I've dedicated the rest of the summer to grad school and fitness so hopefully by September I'll be where I want to be, at 140.

Stress increases the hormone cortisol, which increases insulin resistance. I'm not sure what it does to Ketosis but it seems as if there could be a correlation.
Best to practice any destress techniques in your arsenal (gentle yoga, deep breathing, walking, etc). Hope things get better!
I got a Groupon for a Costco membership, so my 4-yr-old and I are going right now to see if we can pick up some cheap fresh(ish) veggies, meats and protein shakes. It's a bit of a drive, so here's hoping the traffic and shopping gods smile on us.

Just thought I'd stop in and say hi ... I haven't had much time to check in lately and pretty much just catch up on the maintenance thread once in awhile. Maintenance is going great (I think phasing off properly had a lot to do with that), and I'm actually starting to believe I can stay at my goal weight or even a bit under for the rest of my life. I still can't believe it each morning when I get on the scale. I don't feel a lot different - just more comfortable in my own skin overall - but when I look at some of the clothes I used to wear, the difference in my size is amazing. It's funny that I don't see it so much when I look in the mirror.
Hope you all have a great day!

Just a tip: One thing I used to do until a Costco was built closer to us was to take a cooler in the car so I could keep the frozen and cold items cool during the long trip home.
Morning everyone! I haven't been on the posts since last week. Everytime I tried to login in it said there was some kind of a malicious virus on the forum. Weird!
Anyways, NSV time:
This last weekend I completed a 3 mile hike of Wallace Falls in the Snohomish, WA area and it was EASY!!!!! Sign said medium difficulty.
I was so excited to see that I could climb and hike without my heart beating out of my chest and my feet killing me! I was so excited I wanted to bust out in tears. Tears of sorrow for missing out on the opportunities in life when I was heavier and couldn't hike up that mountain. It was a moment. Then I smiled. I don't want to look back and be full of regret - it serves no purpose since I can't change it.
Can't wait to see what I can do when I shed 40+ more lbs.

Good morning everyone! I am halfway through week 4 and down 17.8 lbs! as of this morning!! I had to go shopping for new work pants yesterday and I am officially down a pant size! That is huge for me, because it means I am back in regular size pants! BYE-BYE PLUS SIZE! Have a great day everyone

Congrats!! That's an incredible first week! I finished my law degree 1 year ago, so I know how hard it can be to diet and study at the same time. Good luck to you!!
I'm proud to report i am now out of the 200's!!! and .2 away from being down 20lbs!!! I still have quite a road ahead of me, but this site and obviously IP have been life savers for me! Thanks everyone!!!
Hello and Happy Tuesday. Not on as much as I used to be or as much as I would like. Started a new job in April and have been consumed with that. Today, I am going back on Phase 1 today for a couple days. I have been at 135 since December but I have been bouncing between 135-140 the last month or two so I figured a couple days of phase 1would do the body good. Plus, I am spending the weekend with friends at the lake boating so I thought it would help me feel less bloated and more energetic.
I agree with the bubbleblower that I don't feel a lot different even though the scale has gone down a lot until I look at some of the clothes I used to wear and pictures. Pictures are the most shocking to see and so telling. I suppose it is taken me awhile to not feel overwight or chunky like I was used to feeling. I will be walking and catch a profile of myself and think that I look skinny...6 months later its still shocking.
On another note, if anyone is maintaining, after you do a couple of phase 1 days would you suggest going to phase 3 or going back into maintainence?
