Hi Everyone! So over the weekend I found some 0/0/0 flavored syrups (like the torani) at THE DOLLAR STORE!!!! (dollar tree) I was excited yet cautious because it was from the dollar store, but they were actually quite good in my coffee! I got vanilla and hazelnut so that I can alternate. Just wanted to let everyone know!

You got stuck. You needed to eat. You made a choice.
Make sure you have packets or bars stowed for emergencies (mine are in my car, DH's car, my purse, desk at work - for if I forget my lunch, which has happened one time)

I tried a ThinkThin bar in Brownie crunch this weekend while I was out and in a pinch and it was delicious. I think it was on plan but the nutrition facts were honestly starting to get confusing. One thing I noticed was just how much sugar were in some protein shakes. Pure Protein had 20something grams of sugar!
With 230 calories, 24 carbs (only 2 from fiber), I would not think they match IP bars for an OP choice
Here is a great thread to help you determine what products WILL work

Be sure you stow packets a lot of places, then you won't be out and in a pinch!

Wow, lots of IPers just starting or returning -- welcome!! Stick to it, and you can do it!

I spent a goodly amount of time going through my closet again yesterday. Things I bought just a month ago are no longer flattering -- too big -- and they are back in the donate pile. Think my favorite thrift store will recognize that the clothes they receive are clothes they've already sold before? LOL

I'm looking forward to you all having fun like that in your closets very soon!

I getting really tired of dieting. I have been one phase one for a a month and have had great success. My original goal was to loose 20, and I up'd it to 30. I am now 3lbs from the new goal and almost ready to move on to the next phase. I have been really strict, I only cheated once, which was wine with dinner.

I have a business dinner this week. I think I am going to go totally off program and enjoy it. I have major diet fatigue.

I highly recommend you properly phase off.
Some clinics skip Phase 2 and jump dieters right to phase 3 to phase off. You would definitely not feel the diet fatigue (mental/physical) on phase 3.
Remember, this is a FOUR phase program. To be successful in the long-term, it is more than just Phase 1

I made that mistake when I did Atkins 10 years ago (jumped pretty-much right from Induction to off-plan). Ten years later I was back on a restrictive diet to lose over 100 lbs.

Phasing off, following maintenance is the way to maintain your hard work so that IP is TRULY your last diet.

I meant I was thinking of going off for just an evening and drinking. My clinic does recommend skipping to phase 3. Thanks for the reply.it has been a brutal month, I don't want the effort to waste.

That could explain this week's fail. Thanks.

A 1.6 lb loss in week 3 is not a fail.
Has your coach explained the ups & downs of weight loss?

No "four letter words" allowed when describing weight loss.
Celebrate those 1.6 lbs are GONE!

It was either laugh or cry. So I got to my boyfriend's house and dug into a bowl of vanilla pudding. I can't say I am not still missing ice cream, but it was a close-enough-second.
Sarita - Your stats are so great for being on the program a few short weeks! You are over 25% to your goal in only 3 weeks! Holy cow! I was going to wait until a week from Thursday, when I got back from my family vacation, to start the diet... but yours and everyone's success makes me want to start now!

Decent day turned to dreariness and drizzle in CT. So, at Starbucks this afternoon, ordering a pastry with my tea seemed like a nice comfy cozy decision to make. I am down so many sizes and am feeling so good, I was telling myself and really on the verge on jumping in.... However, I have the big girl in front of me and the big boy behind me to thank for reminding me my lovely little tea alone would be a satiating enough little treat for me. :-)

I am so darn hungry today though with the bad weather, I am purposely going to take an exercise class only to be able to eat another packet today.

bitgrams, i wish there was an app that you could enter in how many grams of carbs, fat, sugar, and protein you want, then it would search all the food items that are under that and give you a list. I get so frustrated when I go to the store looking for alternative products that I can try to change it up a bit, and i just end up spending an hour in the aisles reading label after label, usually just to leave empty handed bc nothing is allowed. booooooo

Hmmm,,, I have been getting the RTD Pure Protein shakes and they only have 1 gram of sugar! 120 Cal (10 from fat); 1.5 g fat; 6 carbs (3g fiber, 1g sugar); 23g protein. Those seem like excellent stats for something that tastes soooo good!

HAHA - Glad my math made you happy! Just think... you are ALMOST 1/3rd of the way there (3.3 lbs)! I am still going to wait until I get back to start because our vacation will be really physical and I don't want to be the lame-o taking naps and having headaches in the hotel room. I am just so motivated by everyone's success that I really want to start working towards my own successes!

I too am missing my running. At first it was a welcome break, but after 4 weeks I am starting to get anxiety about starting all over again!
