Me too! Sometimes, just for fun, I use it to make cucumber noodles, throw in thinly sliced red onion, sea salt, black pepper, oil and apple cider vinegar to make a yummy cucumber salad because it's way more fun to "twirl" my cucumber salad than pierce boring diced pieces with my fork!

So, in at my parents house for a couple days for my Dads 50th birthday. We're having a custom made filled with yummy things cake, pies, chips, cheeseburgers, Mac and cheese, and then of course like always there is ice cream, candy, biscuits and damn near every kind of food I have no business eating right now. And alcohol tomorrow. Dude. It's hard to be here! I'm 100% OP though, I know what happened last time, I slipped once and I could never really 100% commit after that for more than a few days at a time. I want to get this weight off so I'm staying strong. But it's hard and I'm hungrier that I was last week. Blah.

You ladies are awesome. I'm going to buy one tomorow! Seems like a fun idea.

Question: Zucchini is permitted, but squash is not. Today I bought zucchini squash, and last week I bought green squash (smaller than the zucchini I bought today). What's the difference between all of these things? What am I allowed to have and what am I not? I'm confused!

Summer squash is allowed (green and yellow zucchini).

Winter squash is not (acorn, butternut, spaghetti).

I've set mini goals for myself and for my next one I am going to buy one of the vegetable "noodle" makers! What a fun way to incorparate veggies! So happy to hear of everyone's losses and NSV'S!

I am down 17lbs in 7 weeks. While it doesn't seem that much compared to other folks' losses I have to stop myself and not compare myself to others! Simple analogy, but we're all like snowflakes, no two are the same!

I've always told myself that I would be a certain weight by the time I turned 25. I'm 25 now, but my birthday is not until December. If I continue to average what I have been these last 7 weeks I will be as close as close can be to that weight. Who know, I may even make my goal before! To ring in my birthday a slimmer, healthier me is going to be the greatest gift EVER!!

For me, thinking about my goals helps push me that much further! Thank you all for being cheerleaders and such a beneficial tool in this journey!!

Zucchini and summer squash noodles are good in a stir fry with WF Asian dressing!

i bought a package of lettuce today and i happen to look at the back of it and noticed that theres sugar in it. i find that strange and am not sure if i should even be eating it now, same with the bag of spinach and kale mix i bought it says theres sugar in that as well.

There is natural sugar in almost all vegetables. Some have more, some have less which is one of the reasons there are 'select' and 'occasional' veggies on IP.

Eat your lettuce, kale, and spinach!

Can you post the brands? If you are buying bags of mixes, make sure there aren't shredded carrots or other veggies, that might be the source of the sugar. Any bagged lettuce that is nothing but raw leaves should not contain sugar. There should be minimal naturally occuring sugars in lettuces, less than 1g per cup.

That said, if you are getting plain, raw lettuce, kale and spinach they are fine to have. Phase 1 does not eliminate sugars but carefully controls how much we take in.

Romaine lettuce has more than 1 gram of sugar per cup:
