Ideal Complete Meal Replacement - has anyone tried?

I've made it to maintenance and as much as I love the big breakfasts, I just don't have time to prepare them during the week. Just wondering if anyone's had a chance to try the new Ideal Complete meal replacement drinks?

Although I can purchase other IP products individually, I have to purchase an entire box when it comes to these. Just curious if anyone has any input on which flavour may be better or worse than the others. Thanks!

My coach gave some to me but I'm not to maintenance yet so I gave them to my mom. I'll ask her.

I'm far from maintenance, but my coach had tiny cups of each to sample.

I'm not usually a vanilla person but it was my favorite! Super rich and creamy. The strawberry was ok and surprisingly, I didn't care for the chocolate. It not nearly as tasty as the chocolate drink mix, had a faintly chemical taste to it.

I have tried all three flavors. I liked the vanilla the most. Chocolate was second. The taste is different than other IP products since the vitamins and minerals are included.

I have the Chocolate and find that it has a bit of an odd taste to it. My coach said that the Vanilla gets better reviews than the Chocolate...I wish she had told me that before I bought it :(.

Thanks for your guys' input! I think I'm gonna try the vanilla. I figure I can always add frozen strawberries or a banana or peanut butter to it for a little spin if I get bored of it.

What I do not understand is how this is expected to be a phase 3 breakfast, which is what it suggests online and by my coach. It's half the calories of what a phase 3 breakfast is supposed to be.

It's not.

We aren't required to continue having P3 style breakfasts once we are in maintenance - many of us make that choice, but it's not an absolute. Some people do better with a smaller breakfast, or just don't have time to make a P3 breakfast - this kind of product would work in those cases, kind of like a Carnation instant breakfast but hopefully with a little better nutrition.

Thanks for clarifying. I absolutely see the value in keeping some shakes around like this in maintenance. I was just surprised to see it touted as good in phase 3 too.

That I haven't heard - my understanding was that the meal replacements and prepackaged meals they just introduced were only for maintenance.

It is on the new P3 sheet as an option for breakfast only. In P4, it can replace any meal.

I gotcha. Not something I would personally choose (I love my big breakfasts!) but it'd be handy in a pinch!
