potato puree
I love you cook with IP's potato puree, Fluffy potato rolls being one of my favorites. Has anyone discovered an alternative to this packet anywhere?

^bumped as I would like to know too :)

So far it appears IP is the only vendor for this product

I order a potato puree from two companies in Europe. I will check the actual packet of powder when I get home from work to see if I can get more info. The puree I order a generic brand packed in the companies own boxes. I order from avidlite.co.uk and protislank.nl.

You can try the Dixie Diner Carb Counters instant mashers from netrition.com. Protein is only 8grams, but if you add a couple egg whites to your recipe it ends up at 16grams of protein & 128 calories. I just don't know if this will bake the same way the IP potato puree does.

I checked the puree packet. It's a white envelope, potato puree is written in french, english and dutch, its made in the EC, 28g package. No more clues.

I found these with the help of ragdoll's suggestion:
Dixie Diner Original Potato Mashers It says to mix with water, butter, cream in order to get the "potatos". But I was looking for this alternative for the Potato Rolls recipe (not to actually eat the mashers by themselves). May do for the IP substitute in the rolls? |
