As I wash my hair and see it going down the drain and sweep it off the floor I feel sick. I am on ALL the extra supplements and it is still not tapering off, although my weight loss has! How long has others experienced this increase shed in hair for? I made an appt with my Dr for a physical and to have thyroid checked. I was borderline low before but not on mess. Maybe this pushed it to the point that I need them now! Also... First few TOMS were horrible and now no TOM for 2 months! Negative preg tests... I did check!
I am getting so frustrated!!!!!!
I've been shedding pretty bad, myself. Some days it's not as bad as others, but it definitely sucks. I've worried it might be thyroid related, but maybe it's just hormone imbalances? I'm sure your doctor can find out what's going on & help.
After three months of doing P1 I began to notice hair loss. When I began maintenance it began to grow back. It's common with quick weight loss. I didn't bother with biotin or any other hair loss vitamins.
Unfortunately now it's falling out again and worse because of a new med I'm on...
I saw an endocrinologist for my thyroid (which for now is normal)...IMO they are better than a PCP... Good luck!!!
For me hair loss is just like a pain what I feel from inside. I am suffering from last 4 months and my hair became thin than previous. My hair consultant suggested me to use sani-555 as a supplement for hair loss. I am taking it since last 2 months and seen that the hair is now somewhat stop falling but the major issue for me is thin hair.

I always shed this time of year. Some of it might be seasonal combined with the diet.
I have noticed this, too. I was quite worried about all the shedding last year at this time, too, and that was way before I started IP. I think sheds go in cycles as May-June always seems to bring these same worries for me year after year. I'm not saying that IP may not be contributing, but I think that there are normal cycles as well.
On days when I get really upset by it, I throw it back in a clip or a ponytail so that I don't have to keep finding a hair here and a hair there every two minutes. It helps my mind calm down about it for a while. Hang in there everybody!
I've noticed a higher-than-normal hair loss the past week or so, but I've recently phased off, stopped using a shampoo that was stimulating my scalp (cinnamon in it), and had a med dose raised. I have to keep an eye on it--if it doesn't stop in a week or two, I'm going to have to blame the meds (which stinks, because it's working way better than it was before).
I've been taking 10,000mcg of Biotin daily and I am happy to say that my hair loss seems to have stopped. I added the Biotin on 6/4 and actually saw results within a week. My hair still seems a little dry but it is no longer clogging my drain or hairbrush!!! I am confident enough to go get my roots colored tomorrow, which I was afraid to do two weeks ago Please note that I have also upped my collagen intake by making bone broth and drinking a cup every night so that may also be helping.
I put this in the daily chat the other day, but just in case: If you have/had laser hair removal, biotin may cause hair to regrow. That's great for our hairline, but not so great for those unwanted hairs.
I am noticing loss now. I started taking Biotin about 6 weeks ago. Take 5 MG which I thought was standard? What dosage are people taking regularly?
Standard dose for hair loss is 5000 - 7000 mcg per day, but up to 10,000 mcg/day is considered okay. Excess is excreted in the urine so taking 10,000 can't hurt you, but if you take more than that you are gonna pee it out anyway. Biotin can make your urine look like Sunny-D, so be forewarned!!
