Ideal Protein Iphone App

Has anyone tried the IP phone app available at the Itunes App store? It looks interesting but kind of pricey for an app - $9.99. It's supposed to have hundreds of plan approved recipes for each Phase and an electronic journal, grocery list, and product information (I'm guessing nutritional data on packets). Kind of hoping for a review before I plunk down $10 for something.

Someone said awhile back that they had purchased it and it wasn't worth the money. They stayed with My Fitness Pal and had better results. I'll do some research and see it I can find that thread for you.

Here is the last thread that everyone was talking about apps.

This one just came out the 1st of the month and it's IP specific. It's not from corporate but developed by a clinic somewhere. It looks interesting but pricey for an app so was hoping someone had tried it already.

I purchased it recently after hearing from my mom that she really likes it. I do think it is pricey for what you get because it doesn't have a lot of features. It does have a lot of recipes, which is why I ended up getting it. My mom had tried a few of them and really liked them. She said they were recipes she hadn't seen yet online or in the IP cookbooks. I will report back once I've used it a bit more since I just recently got it.

I think if it's new they will only improve it and update it- I have also been looking at it but haven't wanted to plop down the $10 just yet, I haven't started the program just yet, have an. Appt on June 7th, but wanted as much info as I can gather!!:broc:

I did a search and didn't find that (the reason I started a new thread) and then when going page-by-page looking for another thread I ran across it.

Understood. Search is wonky, isn't it

I do see they updated the app and fixed the bugs, just wishe it was free!

If you consider the app a "IP recipe book" it's a very fair price. I have the app and like having my favorite IP recipes at my fingertips along with delicious looking recipes that I can't wait to try. This morning I tried the Berry Muffins found on the app. Using one IP Strawberry Pudding - 2 regular muffins and non restricted!

Atlin: very good point!

I bought it and haven't really used it yet. Prefer my fitness pal for journal. I will probably use the recipes. But u can get a lot of recipes online

I purchased it and rather like it! Worth the money? Not sure! But with all the money I am saving by using alternative products and not drinking wine every night I figured I could afford it. Lol

Snowbaby 05-19-2013 05:28 PM

:flow1:I may just purchase it when I start, I figure I am going to be doing IP for a long time and want to keep track of everything- and I am going to want as many recipes as I can get
