Correct me if I am wrong, but I measured raw exactly 8 cups of veggies into one pot and 12 cups of veggies into another pot. I cooked both pots but flavored them differently for a little variety this week. After they cooled, I measured two cups of cooked veggies into separate containers. I used only five containers for all that food. I am going with the knowledge that since vegetables shrink when cooked that I actually have 4 cups in each container even though the cooked vegetables measured out 2 cups. I was trying to save myself from having to cook each meal separately.
Any thoughts out there? What do some of you do? I have a husband and 3 kids that I fix food for every night as well hence the day spent on my separate meals.

I do pretty much the same thing but roast 8 cups of raw veggies at a time. I then either split into 2 containers or measure the whole batch then put in one container to portion out as needed.

4 pounds a week is FAB - you go girl!
Wow! I didn't know that you could switch it up like that! My coach said I had to eat everything at the prescribed times...breakfast, lunch, dinner and one snack. I have had a really hard time at lunch with 2 cups of vegetables and an IP packet. (Too full!!). I asked if I could split it up and I was told "no!" Does anyone know the science about this? Why do they want you to eat it all together? Is it a combination thing?

My coach told me the same story about sticking to the sheet and eat this at this time... it just matters that you're getting your daily allotted foods. Not when you eat them.

I agree with you Peaches. While I do IP protocol without a coach (never had one), if someone wants to know more about it I always tell them that there are a couple ways to do it. I am not negative over coaching or the clinics. In fact, I pretty much encourage that if someone is interested and doesn't want to have to study up on the program, they should look up Ideal Protein and see if there's a clinic near them and get the spiel from them. I also point them here, and tell them there are other ways to get into the program on their own. If someone is asking me just as a courtesy sort of question, I just say "low carb - sort of like Atkins, with less fat".
