Hi everyone -

Just wanted to pop in. I haven't posted the last few days - just finished up wake/funeral and will be heading back home in a couple of days. It has been a difficult situation - had both parents pass away within a few months of each other :( so looking forward to getting my life back on track. Though my IP eating has been 100%, so I am glad for that. It has been the one thing that I have been able to control at this time.

I will be driving back to the northeast (currently in the 100 degree heat of the southwest!) in the next few days. I will still post until we leave - it will take us about a week to get back because we have to stop along the way for my DH's medical treatments - but we will make it!

Hope everyone is well - I only posted this here because this was really the only place I have been posting regularly.

Have a great weekend.

You had 2 of my IP favs I gave up when I quit soy: dk choc pudding & sw cheese curls. I actually had kind've a hissy-fit-meltdown, unsure if I could continue b/c I'd be so deprived (that lasted a few hours while I devised a new plan)

I'll give you my p3 friendly huevos breakfast recipe when you get there (sooner than u think!). Actually, you could do it with an omelet packet and green salsa now...with asparagus mockamole :)

Oh, the omelet pack and green salsa sounds good - you're a genius. And I love the mockamole, just haven't been able to find much asparagus and I like the fresh better than the frozen. I think I will try freezing it next time I make it.

I know the feeling ... about the Coffee! it helps until around 12.(noon) but it helps. I get hunger cravings in the afternoon. So I drink tons of plain tea! I have gotten use to drinking it over ice and sometimes a little Stevia... it helps!! but the coffee is a must for me! :sumo:

Would the ProtiDiet cereal be considered a restricted item? Also which flavor have you found to be the best?

It is restricted and I have like a vanilla flavor, I didnt realize..( should of read the small print) that you had to add milk.. so I eat them a nice crunchy breakfast with my coffee.... of course until they run out.

Not sure which cereal you are talking about... I have the ProtiDIet Honey Nut cereal: 100 Cal, 25 from fat; 2.5 g fat; 5 g carb / 2 fiber / 2 sugar; 15 g protein. Doesn't seem restricted at all.

I sprinkle on a tiny bit of vanilla shake powder and add water, then a splash of my skim allowance. It's a perfect cereal without being restricted and a change from IP Crispy Cereal. I usually save my IP Crispy Cereal to make pancakes (also unrestricted unlike the IP actual pancakes!!) :dizzy:

The proti diet honey soy nut cereal is unrestricted, but does NOT have the powdered milk like the IP cereal, so I would actually use it with a splash of vanilla shake as my "milk".

They also make a chocolate cereal that IS restricted.
