Sorry for lurking but I'm super interested in the Fitbit. Which one do you have?

It's a Fitbit Zip - basic model, it tracks your movement, counts your steps and figures out how many calories you burn. There are more expensive models that also monitor sleep patterns. I'm having fun with it!

The jawbone one does amazing things. I am going to order one, although I think I am just feeding my obsession here.

Ok, doing this off my iPhone. Not sure if this will work and if they post massive pictures I'll delete it and try from home. I know I said sparkley....but these are the three I was drawn too. Whatcha think?? (wedding shoes by the way)

...I was just looking at the Jawbone, my mom has the fitbit and I've checked out the bodybug too.

What a great tool... just bought one! I need all the help I can get.

Ok, I'm leaving, but I'll be back when it's my turn to maintain. Someday soon!

I like the ones in the middle! A little dressy but still a little sassy

Ishbel,
I like all of them! They are too cute. Which goes the best with your dress and your mood? The first ones are slightly more formal with the closed toes, but cute with the flowers. I agree with Scorbette..the middle ones are sassy and fun. The pink sandals are just nice strong color!

I use flank steak and make carne asada. Go to all recipes.com and look for Taqueria Style tacos Carne Asada. It is an easy recipe. I don't cut it into strips like the recipe calls for..instead grill it whole and slice later. I use lettuce tortillas, guacamole and cabbage salsa on it. The leftovers can go into salads or be used to make stir fry fajitas.

Scorbette: I have not been stretching after exercising. I think I should start doing that . Plus I read that you should drink water afterwards. I am also using clothes as a factor, when I see the scale go up after exercise. Glad you like the fitbit..I may have to check one out.
Have you tried using leftovers from dinner to spice up your lunches?

Momto2cs. That was good information to know about the scale going up after strenuous exercise. I am sure I do not do the strenuous work out you do, but I am leaning towards not worrying about the scale as my clothes still fit and I am in my range. I like the fluctuation point idea.

Cheekyskeeter. What a nice NSV from that nurse! I am glad she was finally nice to you!

Cindy: great job on your lab work! I was very happy to get out of the pre-diabetes zone as well. I am not returning to it.

Bubbleblower: I liked that article as well. I think it is key that you do not feel deprived while maintaining.

I wear 6s also..fit some 4s but mainly 6

Those shoes all look great. I wish I had thin ankles and feet. Mine are not pretty. I believe if I was a skeleton my ankles and shins would be the widest part of me.

Those are some good beef ideas. I love grilled beef tenderloin, extra rare, but recently we bought half a cow! It was a lot of beef. I refuse to buy anything until the freezer has a bit of space so it has been burgers for the kids, spaghetti with Zuchinni noodles, curried beef, beef stroganoff, etc.

I like the middle ones as they're adorable but I'm drawn to the colour of the third pair (my fav colour). All are very cute though.

Theyre all cute! I'd go for the middle ones too.

Hi All!

Just checking in to say hi! I'm a couple of weeks into maintenance and I'm doing fine. Holding my own. I finally had the " adjustment weight gain" of 2 pounds, then lost one of those 2 pounds the second week of maintenance. I had continued to lose in p2 and p3, so I was well under my goal and still am.

I'm in Houston watching the twins, so that's wonderful fun.

Today I bought two dresses. I needed a dress to wear at a wedding on Sat. I knew what I wanted and got it: a bright-colored, big painted flowers (dark pink, bright orange, green leaves open a white background), hourglass-shaped, fitted sleeveless dress. It's a little short, but will be fine. The craziest, weirdest part is the size. Never in my life did I think I'd wear ths size: 4 petite!! I'm still reeling from it!

This afternoon I had lunch at a friend's house who started IP last week. I showed her how to make cauliflower rice and she made a salad with salmon and a
shrimp dish. It was fun to share these things with her!

I know this has been a "me post," but I just wanted to check in and share. The view is certainly different from here, from maintenance. I know it's an ongoing journey, but I'm having a blast right now.

Ishbel, I love the sandals!

Hi to All!

Wedding shoes, I like the middle ones too; but the floral ones would look cute depending on the dress.

What do you guys eat for snacks? I need some ideas for that witching hour before dinner is ready. I usually have a string cheese or some almonds, but if I am having a carby dinner, I don't want to have those snacks so close to dinner since they are considered fats. I wish there was a 'maintenance meal thread'. I email my journal to my coach weekly and she says I am doing fine, but I have gained about 8 lbs back since going into maintenance and my clothes are a little bit tighter than they were when I transitioned.
