I will not....

Eat chocolate today or any day . I will walk past my kids easter baskets and not stop to peek or say "just one".
I've come way too far in 3 short weeks to go back now.
I can do this, I can do this, I can do this, I can do this!!! :D

I don't have any little ones so I don't have to worry about the chocolate thankfully.
I do understand where you're coming from though. This weekend my son is home from university and I always cook and bake for him to take back with him. Friday I made popcorn balls, chocolate no bake cookies and chocolate butterscotch pecan cookies, proud to say not a nibble or even finger lick.
Yesterday I made 7 loaves of home made bread and a pan of cinnamon buns. I was so tempted I was walking around mumbling to myself( I don't need a cinnamon bun, Ive come so far, I don't want to gain). Very happy to say I resisted and my scale rewarded me this morning:carrot:

Stay strong, you can do it!

I WILL NOT succumb to a glass of wine at Easter dinner... I WILL NOT enjoy an Easter treat!

We can do it!!

Halfagain 03-31-2013 11:24 AM

It's so nice having a plan. Stick to your guns ladies and gents - you see that Easter Bunny? Get him in your sights and tell him you know what he's about and you don't need it, want it, or desire his wears in any shape or form (a boiled egg or just the white ... alright I'm caving, he's so cute!)... okay NOTHING candy related then! We got this!

Rabbit is very low fat
Have Easter dinner plans yet? ;)
There is always more than one way to look at a situation :carrot:

I learned a long time ago to talk about what WILL happen instead of what won't.
Every time I say something like I won't eat chocolate, the last message my brain "hears" is chocolate.

Instead: this is my plan today. For breakfast ___, for lunch ___, for dinner ___, for a snack ____, and to combat any cravings I plan to ____

LOL! I told DH and DS (23 y/o DS) that I ran over the bunny on the way home from the store last night. While I got a small snack size treat (single packet for each of them) off of him, he wouldn't be able to come today and that was "it" for Easter. Then told them "enjoy!"

My grandmother is cooking today. I WILL eat Easter dinner with the family. I WILL NOT miss out on family time. I just plan on ham and a double helping of green beans ;). I will also be packing a diet rite cola because I'm sure the sweet tea will be flowing! And if we watch a movie after dinner I'm taking my SW curls. We got this.

My easter treat is to lose weight this week! On a holiday week. How fantastic is that?!

I didn't get anything for the grandkids until yesterday, and then only in small packages tucked safely into their baskets. Hubby isn't into sweets.

Stay strong and happy easter.

I love the affirmations.

My WI is tomorrow, that is helping my determination and willpower.

I made four great Easter baskets last night, opened choc and other yummy candies did not think twice.

However, if I baked all day...yikes..that would be tough to not absentmindedly lick a finger.

I am impressed by everyone's strength!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though the chocolate (at my mom's) was calling to me Easter Brunch at the Country Club was worse! lol

I flipped my lunch and dinner around so I could enjoy some of it. But the french toast sticks, hashbrowns etc.... and their fried chicken is the best.

BUT I stuck to what I planned on eating and am happy about it!

MY Easter Treat is to be in Onederland come weigh in on Wednesday!

Great job everyone! It is so nice to have this board to come to for support and confirmation that this can be done even on the toughest days. I typically do a basket of assorted candies for my kids. I have been having some strong cravings lately and Easter candy is my favorite so to avoid temptation I just bought each a chocolate bunny and called it good. I am proud of myself for choosing what was right for me rather than worrying about pleasing everyone else!

cdnmomof2 04-01-2013 01:17 AM

I hear ya! I love chocolate but I did great to today.. Didn't not touch any nor feel like I was missing out!

Just remember. It's not like you'll never have any. Just not right now.

Gonna really try 04-01-2013 07:34 AM

I could resist the chocolate and salads with fruit. Made a ham and a turkey, only ate turkey and lettuce salad. But i hate to admit, i did cheat with a rum and water. I was hosting and my mil stresses me. I wanted to take the edge off. I hope my wi tomorrow Is forgiving.

It was hard for me too, but I made it!
