  • I am thinking of setting some goals for myself that are unrelated to the number that appears in the middle of my scale and aside from being 100% OP, getting the right amounts of everything, etc. I am looking for other ideas AND I want to be accountable so I am posting here.

Please share some goals you have set for yourself to keep OP!

One thought I am having is only stepping on the scale TWICE a week. I know that weighing in just once will not work for me, my anxiety, etc, so I feel that allowing myself 2x per week is doable. I'll strive not to do it twice, but I wont beat myself up about it if i do.
  • I don't have them written down, but they've been running through my mind:

    1. be able to shop in the juniors section at the mall
    2. go clothes shopping (when I get closer to goal) with my nieces who are way more hip than I and have them give me feedback on clothes. I esp. want to go buy a pair of jeans from Buckle. In case you don't know this store, they sell expensive jeans, +/- $100. I guess they are sooo comfortable, are made in different ways so that you can find one that makes your behind look fabulous, and they will hem for free to your requested length.
    3. would love to be a size that my husband could pick me up if he ever desired to do so!

I'll give it some more thought and share more later Jen
  • 1. Shop for clothes in the regular size section
    2. Reduce medication
    3. Weigh less than my husband
    4. Fit in an airline seat with room to spare
  • One of the things I want is to be able to cross my legs again.
  • Glover girl...I so agree with the crossing leg thing. I usually have to "anchor" my top leg on something to stop slipping. That should give you all a visual with a laugh.
  • I want to be able to feel comfortable sitting around a poolside or at a beach with my 3 kids and not feel like "A Big Mom" anymore. I have in the past avoided getting into a pool with them and playing because I was embarrassed to put on a bathing suit.
  • To keep up to my two boys and YES!! To buy a pair of jeans from Buckle!!! Well, any name brand jeans AND look fantastic in them.
  • I'm really getting there... but I just want to feel comfortable in my skin again. I don't want to always be conscious of how my shirt is riding or pulling it away from my belly. This way of eating is really working though! My belly is nearly gone and I'm getting excited about the prospect of wearing a swimsuit in the lake with my husband this June!

You and I share many goals.
#3: I was THERE & then hubby decided to drop a few lbs. Now I think I'm one or 2 higher than him but my eventual goal is STILL lower!
#4: This plan works! In Dec 2011, I had to ask for a seatbelt extender when we returned from FL. This year:

WOW, look how much EXTRA room you have!! That's gotta feel great!
  • Fun post!

    1. Weigh less than my husband...only 9 more pounds to go.
    2. Feel awesome in my tri-top and shorts when I do my first triathlon in July.
    3. Have my thighs not rub

OMG! I just had this NSV last week!!! I sat on DH's bed to read her bedtime story (we're reading Little House on the Prairie) and I crossed my legs for the first time in years! Felt awesome!!
  • I want a pair of Buckle jeans too! I hear they feel like wearing sweatpants.
To get off my blood pressure medication. Actually, I'm pretty sure I've already reached this goal. Every time I stand up, it feels like my BP is bottoming out.
  • I want to look and feel wonderful for our son's wedding in June. The gown is bought and the fitting is in 2 weeks. Am down almost 15 pounds since I bought it. Am actually hoping to be under 140 before the fitting. I really got out of the box and bought a stunning gown. He is our only child, when I dance with him I want to look great. At 54 years old, I don't want to look like and old lady.
  • To have fun playing w my little nephews tmrw!!
