Listening to sports talk radio yesterday on the way home. The broadcaster said that March 6th is the unwritten traditional time golf seasons opens up in Chicago. Judging from the long range forecast April 6th is in doubt. 16 degrees out when I left the house this morning. This winter is getting very old. Talk of baseball and outside activities (On this thread) appear only to be a dream. Of course I appear to be more susceptible to cold now that 40 pounds of insulating fat is gone. I rather be cold then fat.
Coach had to leave to Denver because of some event called the “Birth of my first grandchild”. It left the wife and I in sort of a panic. WHAT DO WE DO!? When cooler heads prevailed, it was a no-brainer. Just keep on doing the program and pick up IP food at their office. The surprise was the panic. We have chosen to go the pure IP program and not use the alternatives. What is that saying “If it works don’t touch it” and this is working beyond my wildest expectations! Now we can sell those zillions of diet books at a garage sale if Spring ever shows up! How can a fat person ever sale a diet book at a garage sale? I found out when selling them in the past that the potential customer would pick up the book, look at me, say to himself, “Obviously this doesn’t work” and put it down. |
WI today was 3.8 pounds...not as good as first 2 weeks but brings me down to 22.5 total in 3 weeks...

Sorry for your loss. After your last week, you are doing great, I would have ran and buried myself in a case of potato chips. After your first couple of weeks it will slow down a bit. And sometimes you will lose more inches then pounds, during a week. That is when doing the measuring as well as the scale helps. Hang in there you are doing great. |
I've been rockin' it since I got back from the Vaca!
I don't know if it is because my body is so happy to be eating healthy again or what but I had a "naked WI" of 241 this morning. Last time I saw 241 on a scale I was enjoying being 21yrs old! |

The "fresh out of the shower BAN (buck azz nekid)" weight was 191.5. I'll be in the 180s on my scale by next Friday! My coach didn't really ask me about a goal I just set one that was something I hadn't seen since 3rd grade. It could be that I get there and decide it's still too high or try and replace some of the weight with more muscle. The point being that I think our goals and comfort level should be ours and not theirs. Sure they can make suggestions but I'm the one that has to feel comfortable in my own skin. Now if I start getting to the point that I'm obsessing over staying on Phase 1 for a couple more years then there needs to be an intervention. Since I reached the 50% mark my coach wanted to know if I would like to Phase off for a month or so in case I was getting bored with the diet. I told her He77 NO! The last 2 months was a piece of roasted cauliflower and if the next 2 months are the same then I'm sticking to Phase 1 until the end. I'm more worried about getting through Phase 2 and 3 than I am about surviving Phase 1. |
