Question Regarding Black Coffee
 

How much is okay on IP?? I drink it black and find that I'm drinking about 4 cups a day. By the way, it IS caffeinated.

I was told to only have 1 caffeinated a day but if I had more then 1 that I should drink the same amount of water extra as the size of the coffee (meaning on top of the water I have to drink already). I used to drink between 4 and 6 cups a day but I've switched it all over to decaf and honestly now I don't miss it.

I was told by my coach (this was three years ago so it may have changed) that you can drink however much you want as long as you match the amount of coffee you drink with water (above and beyond the 64oz). Hope this helps!

I was told as much as you want. But drink lots of water.

After the first cup of coffee, you just need to add an equal amount of extra water to the extra cups you drink, to offset the diuretic effect of the caffeine.

Thanks! I think I will just cut it down. I already have enough trouble drinking the water I'm supposed to drink...let alone more to offset the coffee.

LOL that knowledge is more because I am a terrible coffee drinker myself and had to figure out how to make my love of the bean work with IP :)

Awesome, I was wondering today as I had my second cup what the golden rule actually was. Glad to hear I'm not the only one out there savoring their coffee still. It's worth the gallon of water I drink a day :)

I switched to decaf and now count that as part of my water. I'm TRYING to drink more H2O in its pure form, but the French Vanilla Decaf gives me the flavour I need to make it through the day ;) I shall, one day, be "well preserved" when they find my mummified body that smells like French Vanilla due to all the terrible chemicals I'm ingesting. Oh well. Gotta have a vice to balance my usual :angel: self, and here it is! :coffee: CHEERS!
