It could be anything. Hormone changes or you're age. Give it another week!

Warning: I'm whining. I am 110% on "European Boot Camp" after phasing through to maintenance for vacation (EBC=5 packets a day, no meat proteins, 4C veggies total, 64+ oz water, all my vities, salt and oil, etc. I just started EBC Monday 2/11 after 5 days of being back on Phase 1). Sure, this is only Thursday but every morning the scale says 143.7 or 143.8 and every evening the scale has said between 144.7 and 144.9. (weighing in the late PM too just out of curiosity) Same as my Monday WI!!! Same as when I was on vacation. This is a little too Groundhogs Day for me. I've also moved on to an evening Smooth Move cuppa after finding the $$$ Novi-Lax wasn't doing anything. (Smooth Move has only worked twice since Saturday). I'll head over to re-boot too.

This is getting frustrating....I am hoping for a whoosh, a big whoosh, even a Smooth Move whoosh. Yes I am whining!!!! Yea yea yea, it's only Thursday. Come on body, do something!! I'd love to see a 3 lb loss in 10 days.

Wonder if I can expect that same average as before... If I can realistically expect to lose 12 or so in a month?
I was eating pretty low carb and kept my weight stable until around Halloween. I pretty much lost control from Halloween to the end of January. It was upsetting because the carbs to me are like alcohol to an alcoholic. Hubby lost his job in December (after being with the company for 20 years, they shut down their office). Instead of going on a "beer bender" I was on a carb bender. Time to get it back under control. I worked too hard to take it off last time to let myself go back to square one.
Thank you all for the support. Trying to stay strong and positive for my husband while inside I'm just as worried is starting to take its toll.

Hi there,

If you are trying to lose baby weight, it will come off allot slower......

Thank you in advance....

You are doing fine! Hang in there.

What everyone is saying is true but knowing why is useful.

Fat loss is an equation of energy. Energy is measured in calories.

Smaller people burn fewer calories every day. IP diet doesn't differentiate between giant people and small people. They follow the same protocol. Therefore, smaller people will lose slower because their energy needs are different.

Also, water weight. Stress is a very good way to retain water. You're obviously stressed.

Best bet - don't worry about the scale day to day or week to week. Follow the program and have faith that the laws of physics as they relate to the laws of thermodynamics will hold true.

Reboot

hello I am restarting IP after a little over a year of being off. I am hopeful this time is as successful as last, I lost consistently every week. I know myself and I tend to get discouraged easily so I would very much like to follow fellow iper's who are restarting. I cant seem to find the reboot thread though :) Good luck everyone I look forward to seeing all of our successes
