I eat IP packets for breakfast and snacks when (in the hotel and on the go) but I eat probably phase 2/3 when out and about for lunch and dinner. I walk a lot when I travel, so on each trip, though I was not totally on program, I came back weighing less. I avoid alcohol as I would rather eat my calories and it bloats me.

I studied abroad in Ireland during my undergrad years and definitely found it tough to avoid Guinness and hard cider. I think Chloe had the best advice-phase off before you go and start phase 1 when you return. Enjoy your trip; I love Ireland!

Thank you for all your info!!! I am still thinking this through!!

So helpful! I will be travelling to Nicaragua at the end of next week for a week long of medical clinics in rural villages. I was concerned about staying OP just b/c I know I will be burning way too many calories and then craving! I plan on staying as close to plan as possible, take my packets with me, eat what is available that I can, and just in case have a couple of extra restricted packs if I feel I am burning out and really need the few extra carbs b/c of all the work.

Thanks for all your help everyone! Determined to be healthy! Officially down 22 lbs since Boxing Day 2012 :) And what is better.... I feel great!

Hang in there everyone! We are so worth this!
