I've been on IP for 8 weeks and lost 22 lbs! It started off quick, then slowed down a bit but I have been consistently losing and it's so easy! I am so glad I took a chance on this plan! (Of course now that I know about alternatives, I am even happier that it will cost less!)
I'm guessing this last 17 lbs will take me about 10 weeks, since my average over the last 4 weeks is around 1.7 lbs/week. I'm not too worried about how long it will take any more.
When I started in July I was hoping to be at goal by my birthday on January 8th. That didn't happen, and there is no way I'm setting a time goal again. Seeing my birthday approaching and not being where I thought I would be was stressful.
That's really the best perspective to have. When I started, I really thought (and hoped) I'd be at my goal by now. At this point, though, I am really comfortable with my diet and know that I'll stick with it as long as I need to. If I get to 134 and find that's not where I want to be, I have no problem adjusting my goal weight. I'm going in the right direction, and that's what's most important.
I've been 100% OP for 6 weeks and have lost 25 pounds. Crazy! Very much looking forward to summer! I'm also interested in running a half marathon maybe next year, never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that was something I wanted
I started IP on 9/26/12. I lost 4 lbs prior to starting (my pre-IP start weight was 216). I've definitely had some dinners and drinks at certain points along the way, so I am not a model of IP perfection (especially over the holidays), but I've lost a total of 46lbs to date.
I know some people say they feel skinnier at a higher weight than they did in the past, but I just am not experiencing that. I definitely feel like for my height and weight and proportion, that I need to get to 145 to be comfortable. But I knew this going in. I maintained that weight through most of my 20's, so it is definitely where my body is comfortable.
The first time I did IP, I was on for 5 months, thought I would be done in 3 months because of how IP advertises 3 -5 lbs/week. My average over 5 months with NO CHEATs was 1.75 lbs/week. I am 55 yrs old, post meno, hypothyroid.
This time, I am 5 weeks in and lost 9 lbs, so it looks to be about the same. Each person is different, but it is obvious some lose wayyyyy more than others, so you will have to be happy with your body and losses. Good Luck
