This is awesome!

Been lurking for a month now. But I must say I am extremely happy with this program. And this site has helped me so much!
I watched my mother-in-law and sister-in-law for several months before I was ready to commit to this diet and their results were amazing. I have a 14yr old daughter who had thyroid cancer and had to have her thyroid removed last year and was already overweight and put on another 70 lbs this last year. And myself who at 40 was in need of a change. Needles to say I was desperate as to how to help the both of as dieting was just something I had never done.
So far the results are amazing!!!
In 1 month she has dropped 24lbs and this diet has not bothered her one bit from day1!!!!
I am down 19 lbs and I must say it has been hard for me but I am determined to do this! So to anyone out there having trouble with this just stick with it and it will all be worth it in the end!!!!!:carrot::carrot:

Congrats to you both. It's wonderful that your daughter is having such an easy time with it. Weight issues with children can be a tricky thing to deal with.

way to go

You are setting a great example for your daughter. Sharing in the weight loss program together makes it easier for both of you. Sounds like you are on the road to success. I am a new member and find other peoples success stories give me faith that I can do it too.

I agree with you ragdoll she has been what I call a " sneaky" eater for years and I was really worried about it with her being so restricted on this diet. But I check her ketostik every few days and she is always where she should be. I am so proud of her and make sure that I continuously praise her for it. I think watching my family for several months befor starting gave her the extra motivation that she needed.

Way to go, Mama! You and your daughter are not only getting healthy together, but I am sure you are bonding over the IP diet too! Keep up the good work!

What a great way to have family time! My husband and children are not on IP, but they are liking the healthier meals that have evolved at the dinner table each night. I chopped up and put spinach, green beans, and zucchini into my meatballs last night, there was green hanging out of them everywhere, and they were all eaten, no complaints!!

Glad you came out of lurking, and congrats on your losses so far!!

Yay! Congratulations to you both. My twin sister had thyroid cancer and had to have her thyroid removed as well. She stayed positive throughout the whole thing calling it: "just a bump in the road." SO glad to hear that you and your daughter are doing well! :-)

What a wonderful story and it is just beginning! Congrats to you both and please keep us posted on your successes!

Best,
Chloe

I actually chose to do IP after watching my friend who had her thyroid removed last year successfully lose weight on it. I know she is very careful about her health so figured this wouldn't kill me. LOL Now she's svelte and full of energy. Soon I will be too and so will you and your daughter!

Good luck!
