Eventually, I will figure out how to quote multiple people...but whoa! Congrats y'all!
Roo2, seriously amazing. Did you feel in the beginning like it would never happen? Or did you always believe?
I had WI this morning and was preparing myself for the worst. I have done a pretty good job of staying OP (although I missed a few supplements and got a little less than 2 c of veggies at a couple of meals) despite lots of travel and work stress, so I was pround of myself anyway. Then I stepped on the scale, and -- down 3 lbs! That's after losing 4.5 week 1 and 6.5 week 2.
I am flabbergasted. Then, within 10 minutes of getting to work, I had four different people stop me and say how great I look. Three of them didn't know I was dieting. Happy day!
AND, I think this is finally my 20th post, so in a few days, I'll get to feel like an official part of 3FC, instead of a mostly silent lurker.
I had my 9 week weigh-in yesterday and I only lost .8 lbs of which 2.2 was from fat and I gained 1.4 lbs of muscle. Not sure how that happened because I'm not working out. I was a little bummed to see that the scale weight didn't go down more than that; however if 2.2 came from fat, that's a good thing.
In all fairness....this last week was tough. I've been stressed from work because we are so busy so I forget to drink my water regularly, I'm tired when I get home so I don't really feel like cooking veggies. Thankfully I already had some meat cooked. I didn't get in most of my veggies, but I missed several days of supplements.
I realize that this could be the start of a downward spiral back to my old ways so I'm committing today to be as diligent as I was in the first 8 weeks regardless of my circumstances.

It will go away once your body hits ketosis. You'll know you're in ketosis when you aren't always hungry. For me it took about 5 days. To help the hunger pangs and get through these feelings, I would go for a walk and think positively about why I was doing this. I would also drink hot tea. You're almost there. Week 1 is the worst and then after that you'll want to stay 100% OP so you never have to go through Week 1 again.

Roo2 - So proud of you, WTG!
***HELP!
Can someone please help me find the thread to see Roo2's post "my story on Goal weight"? I'd really like to read her story!
Today I am having a crazy craving. Ususally I've been able to keep them under wraps, as I have not cheated on this diet in 16 weeks...but today I would kill for a baked potato.

Get a rutabaga. I had a huge one. Roasted it & have been eating mashed rutabaga the last 3 days.

It will go away In the beginning I found I was hungry for a lot longer than what people were saying is average for me it took almost two weeks and to be honest it was almost unbareable but I'm a day away from finishing week 4 and honestly I'm rarely ever hungry anymore. You'll be okay, just push through!! If it didn't get better nobody would get past week 1 I know with the way you're feeling it's hard to believe but it's so worth it, I haven't even lost much compared to my goal but I feel like a different person, you'll notice a lot of positive side effects really soon. The first week was pretty nightmare-ish for me but now I don't even think about it. It becomes habit more and more each day
Personally I like the way plain old Iceberg lettuce tastes it's a bit sweet, maybe try loading up on lettuce if that's something you like? Also, maybe try warm water with lemon? That can help hunger pangs.
Which means all good things ARE really worth the wait
ONDERLAND!
60.6 lbs gone forever!
Lisa, how AWESOME for YOU! I'm so glad to be here to celebrate this momentous time with you. Won't it be nice to NEVER see that number 2 as the first number on your scale ever again. Congrats! You're such an inspiration to all of us. And, "yes" we need the "bad cop" sometimes here on this site and you do it perfectly: the right amounts of firm, straight forward, call it as you see it, marked with the underlying caring and compassion! So very happy for you!

I'll have to try a rutabaga, potatoes are one of my favourite things on this earth lol so if rutabaga is even half as fantastic I'll take it!!
Let me put it this way - I had brought some rutabaga that was cooked in the crockpot with a beef roast to work the other day. Some of my coworkers YELLED at me that I was cheating and eating potato!!! Nope, no cheating here
Lisa--- welcome to ONEderland!!! Nice to see your clinic scale caught up to the Wii!!!!!
Roo, congrats on hitting goal!!! I should be joining you in the next week or so
