I think you handled it very well, some people just don't have the same boundaries with questions as we do. I can relate to this experience as last night I had a patients family member tell me how good I was looking and how much had I lost, I told her I was a little over half way there and she said "but you look good now if you lose that much you will look sickly." I said not to worry I work with many nurses who see me daily and will let me know If I have gone to far and left the room. As I said some people like to pry a little to far and give advice that was never asked for.

I think I'll use that alien comment. People sometimes are well meaning, but they just go a bit far. I wish someone would have cared enough to ask how I was doing when I was gaining all the weight.....

Great response!!! I LOVE IT!!m people have asked if I've intentionally lost weight or have I been sick. Geez.
