I made zucchini chips!
I bought a dehydrator and sliced zucchini very thin, once done, tossed them with real salt and cayenne. Yummy!
|
That sounds great! Is that why you bought the dehydrator? Are they crunchy? I just made kale chips for dinner in the oven. I would love to find other ways to get my veggies in me.

Yum!!! They're also really good sprinkled with some cinnamon and Splenda. That's my favorite thing about zucchini, it's so versatile!
Goldilocksinct -you can make them in the oven too! |
I make them in the oven with sea salt and masala spice. So good!

I sliced a zucchini with a mandolin, sprayed a microwave safe plate with olive oil, sprinkled some seasonings and nuked for 5 minutes. They weren't done so I nuked again for 5 minutes. This was too long but they were definitely crunchy. Probably 8 minutes total would have been better. The oven and dehydrator probably make a better product but in a pinch these weren't bad. |

I have been wanting to get the Pampered Chef Microwave Chip maker as for a year I have had people rave about it and now since starting Ideal Protein think it might be time to get it!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to try them in the oven.
I got frozen zucchini cut in crinkly rounds. I wonder if they would work okay. I was buying so many fresh veggies I wanted to get some for the freezer (plus I am lazy). It is just zucchini and not anything added. |
