here are the clues again AND MY THOUGHTS!!!!

1. he said its a state that HE has NEVER been to.

he has never been to VERMONT!!!

2. he said it was a 75% chance or better of snow on christmas day based on usa todays chart
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/weath...e/whitcmas.htm

VERMONT falls into that category!!

3. he said it was within 20 hours drive from charleston sc

VERMONT is 15-17 hours away

4. he said to pack all warm clothes including snow boots, coat, hat, scarves, gloves because it would be cold

it snows in VERMONT!!!!

5. O my Darling, Who knew the road from Brighton would lead to Charleston and I would marry the Darling Princess of my Dreams!

May All your Winter Snow wishes come true, And I'm Sure they will, for Darling, not everything is as it seems!

OMG OMG there is a BRIGHTON IN VERMONT!!! and a DARLING STATE PARK!!!

6. Backpack & Binoculars & a Picnic for 2
We'll sit and watch wildlife and enjoy a lake view

there are lots of lakes in VERMONT!!

we shall go hiking even if it snowed
Will Yough be Mine as we travel the knowledge road

I know you want more clues But i can't make it too easy
Have fun guessing, Hope my clues are not too cheesy

there is CABOT CHEESE in VERMONT!!!!

7, i asked if i need a passport and he said, yes, no, maybe so...
but then bubbleblower reminded me he did said STATE...so probably no where in canada

canada is close to VERMONT!!

8. he did mention about taking me to the biggest mall but that was before the clues started and before he told me we were going away for christmas. even so....the sorta points to minnesota! haha

9. 7 days left 7 states should be too
never forget how much i love you

you say you want more yes its more clues you seek
I know I owe a lot but don't expect it next week

We might not see Santa and there is no valentine
But the Kingdom is yours and the Victory is mine

the northeast portion of VERMONT is known as the NORTHEAST KINGDOM!!!!!!!!!

it will be a long leisurely drive
the list should now go from 7 to 5

10. this may seem like a simple little clue
but if you read carefully, it eliminates two
so enjoy freedom and wave to liberty
where once there were 5, now should be 3

wave to the statue of liberty!!

11.
Don't fret if the weather is bad and we can't drive around and sightsee
We can snuggle by the fire & play lots of games from Yahtzee to Monopoly

VERMONT is on a monopoly board!!

:-) wow so much excitement to wake up to! I'm sipping my first cup of Starbucks drip coffee (no cream - I've gotten used to it, and it's still good) and reading along at the clues and guesses. Susan, where ever you go, you have a wonderful, caring, loving husband going with you, so it will be paradise.

My husband has planned a romantic get away towards the end of the year. It's a king size suite with a hot tub and beautiful view, near other beautiful view spots, casino (if we want - not sure - maybe a show or neon bingo... I like bingo, neon bingo is in the dark with glow in the dark dabbers.. i may have to dab hubby a bit and see him light up! <wicked grin>), and some nice seafood places. With my work crunch time going on, we're just taking a weekend, but it will be fabulous. It is a bed and breakfast, and we've already checked that they are open to changing around my breakfast so I can eat there as well. It's a pretty big place - more like a lodge, so I don't feel like I'm a guest in someone's home so much. I may venture to ask if they can scramble a couple eggs and add some veggies to them if they look really open to change. Otherwise they have a fabulous breakfast that my husband can enjoy and I'll just have a couple boiled eggs and coffee. He's volunteered to eat my special welcome to the Inn cookie for me.

I'm going to get my nails re-painted today, and maybe my toes! I've never had a pedicure done in my life. I've painted my toes a time or two but never the full treatment. Seems silly with the cold weather, as I won't be wearing open toed shoes in the winter - but hubby is encouraging and suggested it. I'm thinking wine color They will be looking good for the trip then, and the in the hot tub.

Costco trip today! Going to get my eyes checked at the eye doctor there. It's been a couple years since my lasics and I haven't been in to see the eye doctor since. So I'll look like a stoner for a few hours today... wonder if having my nails done will be a good idea, might pick out the ugliest color EVER hahahaha. Getting some more Premier Nutrition chocolate shakes while I am there.... oh heck I'm sure I'll have a list. Hard to leave Costco without spending over $100.

Have a great day all. I've been reading the posts. Thanks all for the nice words on my progress. This is for you. I listed people and took it off, because I feel the love and support so much every time I read this string. We are like family here. I am sending the healing vibes to those of you that need them, laughing with you, crying over the recent events, and cheering your weight losses and ah-ha moments of discovery along the way. LOL we've had a lot of ah-ha moments with Nigel's clues!

Dana, we miss you.
