I forgot to share my trip to my hormone doctor (a specialist in Atlanta where I get my bioidentical hormones). He hasn't seen me for 15 months. I was really close in weight to where I was when I started IP last January. He didn't recognize me in the waiting room. He was so impressed. He administers the HCG diet and had tried and tried to talk me into it previously. He said I should be there poster child (I didn't want to go into the story of the real poster child, Wuv). He had also had me have a full blood panel. It came back perfect. Nothing our of the normal range. It's really nice to be healthy.

Now, if only I could get my foot to stop hurting. I have had 6 physical therapy sessions. It's hurting less and the PT is pleased with what she's seeing. I guess she should be able to judge. I've never had anything like this nor had PT. so I have no idea.

Big update on my retirement. The reason at work that I was waiting until 1/31 to leave has now been postponed for a few months, so I told my boss. I'm out of there right after the first of the year. I will stay until 2013 just so I get my company contribution to my 401K. That contribution could be amount to anywhere from $3000-$5000. I'll stick it out until Jan 4 for that chunk of change. But, I'm excited it's getting closer now.

Molly
oo molly i am so happy for you about your retirement coming sooner than planned!! i know how eager you are to get north and get settled!! i remember when you told me about your cottage and i told dh, hey maybe we could rent a cottage near molly....which i why i got my head all wrapped around going to michigan...hoping to see you and greeniris!!! little did i know he already had something lined up since july! haha

i am so sorry to hear about your foot problems and i know first hand how awful it is to deal with a foot problem. i had plantar fasciitis and for about 8 months was struggling. i slept in a night boot, walked with crutches and cried myself to sleep a lot! but now it is all better and i have to really give some props to changing shoes. i am a barefoot girl....and shoes to me are flip flops!! but i took some advice from a friend and a doctor and bought some alegria shoes....and now i am slowly replacing all my shoes with alegria shoes! haha

anyway...take care of you...and tell your dh that it took me forever to find todays clue! nigel left for work early and i didn't get up, and he knew i had planned to go to the store, but i haven't yet b/c i was looking for th clue! hahha so i got dressed to go, and found it on the steering wheel and came back in to post!!! i better get to the store sometime!! hahaha

miss u during the day when you have to work, can't wait until after jan when you can be here during the day and we can have a blast!!!

I was very clear I was shooting for under 200 and told her I started out thinking 180. She cringed and said 190. After talking more about how I've been in the 200's since/during highschool she upped that to 199. I know it's early in the process to really "know" my goal, but I think moving my goal up from 180 will be helpful. There's nothing saying I can't set 195 and see how maintaining that goes. If it works out, and if I want to go lower, I can go back on phase 1 at some point in the future and take it lower. I'm thinking 195 so there's a little buffer under the 200 mark.

I will be excited to be closer to goal, and the end of phase 1. I'm a bit disappointed I'm not living up to my login user name "half again" but I want to be able to maintain, and honestly there's going to be enough loose skin to be absorbed or removed the end number is a bit deceiving. This is for me and I already feel so much better, I can imagine another ~60 lbs is going to make a huge difference from how I feel today. Plus I will be exercising and getting in shape, which will change how I feel/look a lot I'm sure.

I will change my ticker and such with tomorrow's WI updates.
omg...i think you have surpassed your user name!!! half again doesn't have to be just about a specific number!! YOU LOOK AMAZING!!! you have not wavered!!! you are one of the strongest losers on this program i have seen!!!

There is certainly a difference between visiting somewhere and driving through on an interstate or stoping through at an airport.
now lisa....that is something i have not thought about. it would put new hampshire back in the running but not mass as we did actually drive from boston with a rental car to PEI...and drove around boston some...i can't wait to go see boston again!! but we technically only drove through NH!!

Oh my goodness - I just want to crawl back into bed and sleep a few more hours! I'm feeling better, just so tired! My shipment from Nashua Nutrition finally arrived a couple days ago (Fed Ex had lost it for several days), so now I can feel good about the snack I have this afternoon.

Have a great day all!
my shipment came too and i tried a new bar...i don't know what it is about me and the protein bar but i don't like many of them...but wow, this one is good!! cinnamon oatmeal raisin with yogurt covering...it reminds me of a german raisin cake!! but not tooooo sweet!! that is the biggest problem i have with bars, 2 things, they are either way too SWEET even if the flavor is good, and they leave a BAM of a protein aftertaste! thankfully not this one...so its going on the road trip with me!!

hmmm. I've never been good at riddles and clues. Haven't a thought.

But, you need to share when you get the five states you think Nigel has in mind.

Can't wait to read this to dh when he comes in from working on the Corvair. He is so loving what Nigel is doing.

Only 10 working days left. yipee

Even though Michigan isn't in the picture for Christmas. It's a must to come up this summer. You like camping, you can camp down in our building where we hope to store the cars

You love flip flops. Have you tried FIT Flops. My podiatrist recommends them. I just bought a pair (they have a zillion styles) and I getting used to them (the bad foot struggles still). I also wear SAS on his recommendation. I have to have custom orthotics, but Dr. Scholls has some semi-custom. They make your feet feel great.

The PT seems to be helping. I have confidence over time the foot will no longer hurt. Just keep up my exercises.

Nigel confirmed that the state is in this list
north dakota, south dakota, minnesota, nebraska, iowa, wisconsin, connecticut, rhode island and vermont

here are the clues again

1. he said its a state that HE has NEVER been to.

2. he said it was a 75% chance or better of snow on christmas day based on usa todays chart
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/weath...e/whitcmas.htm

3. he said it was within 20 hours drive from charleston sc

4. he said to pack all warm clothes including snow boots, coat, hat, scarves, gloves because it would be cold

5. O my Darling, Who knew the road from Brighton would lead to Charleston and I would marry the Darling Princess of my Dreams!

May All your Winter Snow wishes come true, And I'm Sure they will, for Darling, not everything is as it seems!

6. Backpack & Binoculars & a Picnic for 2
We'll sit and watch wildlife and enjoy a lake view

we shall go hiking even if it snowed
Will Yough be Mine as we travel the knowledge road

I know you want more clues But i can't make it too easy
Have fun guessing, Hope my clues are not too cheesy

7, i asked if i need a passport and he said, yes, no, maybe so...
but then bubbleblower reminded me he did said STATE...so probably no where in canada

8. he did mention about taking me to the biggest mall in america but that was before the clues started and before he told me we were going away for christmas. even so....the sorta points to minnesota! haha

9. 7 days left 7 states should be too
never forget how much i love you

you say you want more yes its more clues you seek
I know I owe a lot but don't expect it next week

We might not see Santa and there is no valentine
But the Kingdom is yours and the Victory is mine

it will be a long leisurely drive
the list should now go from 7 to 5

so this is what i have concluded...its north, obviously hahaha
all of those states fall into the 75% or greater category

ok, so if i take out north and south dakota because they really do not fall UNDER the 20 hour limit that would leave 7 as he suggested!!

minnesota, nebraska, iowa, wisconsin, connecticut, rhode island and vermont

with the last clue, he indicated it should eliminate 2 more of the states
i think 1 to be eliminated is Iowa....he said I owe A (Iowa) lot but don't expect it next week, meaning we aren't going to iowa next week????

that gets me to 6!!

Rainbow,

There's a small town in Wisconsin, Victory, and it's on the Mississippi River and they actually have a Facebook page. I can't find anything about a Kingdom there though, so I may be "all wet."

my heart is so heavy for those in conn. dh tried to cheer me and give me a new clue....but my head is just not in it.

he said he would just tell me but i said no, don't ruin your surprise.

here is the clue:

this may seem like a simple little clue
but if you read carefully, it eliminates two
so enjoy freedom and wave to liberty
where once there were 5, now should be 3

You could wave to the Statue of Liberty from Connecticut. It's a ways though.
