Happy Thanksgiving Ladies!!!

I have to work at 3, so I am bringing in my dinner. It's free at work, but I don't trust it.

But I am going to make the best apple pie ever with my daughter before I go!!

Safe travels and healthy eating everyone!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I made it through 100% OP. The only tough part was while I was making the stuffing, it smelled so good. I wasn't tempted at all by the time we were ready to eat though.

LizRR's gravy puree recipe was fantastic. Tasted just like regular gravy.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

Tonight we had roasted turkey breast, steamed cauli, steamed broccoli, LizRR's veggie puree, (made with mushrooms, celery and garlic cloves)..I also kept some of the roasted veggies and served them on the side. DH loved all of it! Oh yeah, I made Rainbow's Truffles. Very big hit here. I didn't even eat all of my food, nor eat all of my truffles. I'm pretty happy, I was admittedly stressed out wondering how it would go, but it went great!

So, dinner yesterday at friends. We took our turkey veggie tray and Atkins green beans with bacon. I took caulimash and rutabaga mash. I ate some White cheddar crisps before we left and had a cup of raw veggies from the veggie tray. I didn't measure dinner so I did my best guesstimate with Turkey portion (mmm...mmm...good smoked turkey) and if I went over at all it was okay, I never ended up with my third packet (oops!)

I wasn't hungry at all so while everyone had dessert, I happily sipped coffee. Not resisting, just not wanting. I could have had a frozen dessert cup I brought but really the rutabaga purée gave me enough of the pumpkin pie flavor and I was satisfied

The great thing is that I don't view anything as what I'm missing, but what I'm winning! I'm winning the war over obesity. I didn't miss out on ANYTHING. I think this is one of the best things about going to a friend's house. No taste of grandma or mom was available anyway. They had store-bought pies. That wouldn't have happened at my family Thanksgiving (not judging anyone...they are in the middle of a kitchen remodel-just make it easier to look the other way)

The great thing about IP for me is that I get enough flavor & don't feel deprived. It is sustainable.

Lisa, You are such an inspiration. I really enjoy reading your posts. I have been reading for a few months and just became a member the other day. Active member, that is.
