Default 1st time to clothes shop

I decided to cheer myself up and go clothes shopping. I haven't been in a long time so me and my crutches and pain meds went out exploring.
In Sept I was wearing a size 24W jeans. Today I fit into a size 16W jeans! I also moved from a 22W flair skirt to a 18W fitted skirt! I had to go down a bra width size and down a shirt size & that will have to be altered. I was so excited and bought a bunch of new clothes! my current ones are kinda big. I needed this boost since my scale seems to be stuck this week. I know this will be sort lived since I am 100% OP. The retail therapy definitely helped the mood since the scale isn't moving!

Maezy, sounds like you had a great shopping experience. After the week you've had you most certainly deserved it! Glad you're so happy with your new duds.

Maezy, that is awesome! Funny how we don't really notice the tiny little daily losses when we're actually living in these bodies moment by moment. A shopping experience like that really makes you take notice of your progress!
My budget is going toward Christmas at the moment, but I may have to break down soon; my jeans are a little loose even straight from the dryer now!

Awesome Meazy! I have had to replace my entire wardrobe through the IP journey but I love wearing cute clothes! I am having a very hard time with jeans! I do NOT understand all the sizes so I have no clue what size I am. When I shopped at Lane Bryant I knew right where to go. Now I am clueless. I will figure it out sooner or later. You will be out of the W sizes before you know it Meazy! Sizes seem to drop faster than pounds at times.

Yea for you, Maezy!
I, too, went shopping last week... hit a thrift store for some good buys on pants, then went to some regular stores for some awesomely cute tops. Was an amazing mood lifter!

Isn't that an awesome feeling to see yourself in much smaller clothes! Congratulations maezy! I'm very happy for you. I've done most of my shopping throughout my journey at 2nd hand stores - you can find some awesome clothes in excellent condition for next to nothing! (I found a full length leather coat for less than $10! Can we say 'Thrilled'?)

I looove shopping again!! Be careful though, you will probably grow out of those sizes soon! I stopped buying as much when I realized I could only wear the stuff for a few weeks. And make sure to get a belt! I've found that I enjoy buying shoes now because even Mt feet have gone down and there's less pressure on them.

aww thanks all! it is an amazing feeling and I bought enough but no too much because I don't plan on wearing these clothes too far into the new year. I am aiming for 50 off by MArdi Gras. If I get there great, if I don't oh well I will eventually, maybe by St Patty's Day, another big celebration day in Louisiana. Oh who am I kidding? There is a festival every day in Louisiana. Oh and for non Louisianans Mardi Gras is 2/11/13.
