Have to Share

So my husband and I started IP last Tuesday. A friend of mine at work had been on it 6 weeks and I finally decided it was time for me to join.

Today was my first weigh in. First let me tell you how wonderful my first week was. I am sure it was easier because my husband is doing it with me and he is my support at home, my friend is at work so I have support there. I have felt lighter each day and couldn't wait to step on that scale (sure I did at home time to time but I don't trust my scale anyway)

So the good news... I lost 14 lbs!! 2" around my waist and 1-2" everywhere else! The nurse was so amazed she had to double check my numbers for my starting weight! LOL

I am PUMPED! We had already discussed how under no terms were we going to cheat for Thanksgiving (he is very strict and helps keep me that way) and after seeing this number I don't know why I ever would THINK about it!

Whew.... so here is the start to week 2 and a brand new journey for me!

Thanks everyone! :carrot:

Great job, with numbers like that, it just shows you that IP DOES WORK IF YOU STAY ON PROGRAM!.....CONGRATS!!!

Awesome weigh in! Our stats are similar, and I lost 15 my first week. Just wait until your pants start falling off- It will be here before you know it!

Great Tara! My friend from work had to get new pants around week 6, she had gone down 3 sizes but was trying to wait as long as possible to get new pants lol!

My husband and I realized he has never really known me under 220 lbs, before we met I was on high doses of steroids (due to major illness) and I went from 175 to 210 in 2 months.... that is when we met.

Awesome first week! Remembering how it feels to be a little lighter everyday will keep you motivated.

I told the nurse on Sunday I felt low just because my stomach hurt (think I went too long without eating, weekends throw off my schedule) and my 4 year old was eating cheetos and I just wanted to lick his fingers!

But you are right, feeling a little lighter every day keeps me motivated!

Yay for you!! And thank you for sharing your positive results! : )

Congrats to you and your hubby and especially on your weight loss. Im pumped for Thanksgiving! I gave it so much thought and I have planned so well that I KNOW there wont be any cheating on my part. I am giving thanks for being so incredibly blessed with the determination and motivation to stay on IP and for the way I feel and knowing that IP has given me a lifestyle change.

My husband and I are also doing IP together, and we spent the first two weeks concocting elaborate schemes for stealing food from people. If we saw a kid walking down the street eating ice cream, we would debate which one of us should be the one to beat them up for it. When we went to the movies and the guy in front of me had a vat of popcorn, we talked about all of the different ways we could distract him so that he wouldn't notice when my hand reached in and took a handful. It made us laugh when our cravings were at their worst- and believe me, it does get a lot easier. The desire to mug people for their food will pass!

Good Luck Nicegal!

Tara that is so funny because that is what we have been doing too this week! It seems to help us get over the cravings too!
