Looks like we had a lot going on this weekend. I went to my mom's in La for the weekend. Congrats to all the NVS, weightloss and all of you whom are struggling, hang in there, it all works out. Don't stress it, let it work and stay off of the scales!
This is a pic of my oldest son and I....we have BOTH changed!

Amazing pictures!!! Your transformation is without a doubt extraordinary
I would definitely talk to your doctor if you aren't working with a coach. Do you monitor your blood sugars through the day? That might be worth doing, just so you know exactly what your sugars are doing through the day and can strategize with your MD. I have a diabetic husband so I know the blood sugar dance all too well You may want to look into doing the IP plan for diabetics, yes the losses will be slower but it may be kinder on your body and better for your long-term success! Good luck!
I do have a monitor and am monitoring my glucose levels regularly while on the diet, no problems showing so far. I've also seen no other sign of medical problems that I am on the lookout for like dehydration, etc... The only "symptom" I have is very low energy. I don't think I'm at any immediate threat of a health problem, it's more of a functioning problem due to the lowered level of energy. I'll check in with my dr. I'm coming to realize that because of my hypoglycemia, the alternative or a modified version of this plan may be a better match for my body to be able to function. If I could modify the plan without going out of ketosis by adding an extra packet or maybe a little more meat protein to get the energy level up, I'd prefer that. I was hoping some others with hypoglycemia might share what worked best for them if they had been there, done that.

I am amazed when I read/hear your story. I went through all your youtube videos a while back and you are so inspirational. Thank you for documenting your journey for us.
edited to add: Any your son looks fantastic, too!

I am by no means an expert, but the meat protein is generally carb-free, so as long as you don't have too much, then it won't hurt to try.

There are people on the protocol who take 3, 4, 5 packets daily for various reasons. Since you don't have a coach, you'll have to adjust it yourself, monitoring weight loss trends, as well. I'd still recommend consultation with a well-trained coach.
