Good Morning, everyone. I survived the fall festival that I went to this weekend, also stayed OP at my Mom and Dad's which is a major NSV.
Hope everyone has an awesome OP Monday!
So, I was wanting to stay OP until I made it to 140. But with the holidays so close and I'm traveling, I'm not sure if it's better to move to phase 2 soby the time I travel I will be on phase 3 OR do I stay on phase 1?
I have insulin resistence and I don't want to shock my pancreas (sp?) with carbs when I travel. But if I'm on P3 when I travel, then my body will be ready for some carbs. Any suggestions?
UGH!!! I didn't expect to be this confused and terrified at the end of this journey.....

WOW you are so close to goal!
I've traveled on Phase I and it was a little challenge to stay OP, but not at all impossible. If you stick to phase I, you might be done by Thanksgiving and then start phasing out. I think Phase II is easy to do while traveling.

You are so close to the end, finish it the right way.
i traveled the second week and was able to stay op
Good morning everyone!!! Peeking at my scale I'm hopeful WI wed night will be a gooder!! Have an awesome day OP! We are worth this!! We can do this!!
Pattie, you have inspired me. I have a new sense of determination and I am going to get these last pounds off! I have been lazy about tracking my food and measuring my meat and veggies so I am vowing to refocus! I want to be phased off for my birthday next month as my gift to myself. I want to start the new year as a maintainer.
On facebook I always participate in the month of thankfulness and since I don't know many of you on Facebook, I am posting this here too. I am thankful for all of my wonderful friends who have supported me in past 6 months offering me advice, congratulations and support on my IP journey. I couldn't have made it without you all. 60+ pounds in 6 months is amazing and I NEVER thought I would be able to do it. THANK YOU!!!!
Well, I've come to realize that I'm not as evolved in my eating as I thought and revert back to old - bad - habits.
Ever since we've been married (14 years) he had worked at a at a package store and wouldn't get home until 8:30 or so, so I would be on my own for dinner and ate whatever I wanted, grazing and eating really poorly and a lot.
A couple days before I started on IP my husband lost his job and has had dinner on the table every night when I got home from work. I have credted this as a big part of my sucess in this program.
He just got a job a LL Bean for the season, so of course he's working in the evening so I'm on my own for dinner some nights. I've found myself starting to graze in the fridge - nothing "bad" just a couple of springs of brocolli - the other night I over ate eggplant. I know in one part of my brain that this is bad, I need to stop and eat my lettuce or go make jewelry or something while dinner is cooking, the other side says "it's just veggies, what's the big deal, veggies didn't make you fat.
I'm not going to let this side of my brain win! I will change my eating habits!!!

I feel you on the being terrified! I think you would be fine traveling on Phase II but you should do what would be best for you and your circumstances. Good luck!

Refocus Lynnie63! You can do this! Pick out an amazing outfit at LL Bean and keep it in mind as you work toward your goal.

The brain is such a tricky lil thing isn't it? I have started planning well ahead for the week and ti has helped out a lot. Yesterday I was having weak moments becuz my scale wasn't moving in the right direction despite the fact that I am 100% OP. I was about to use it as an excuse but then thought about how I would feel after I ate something bad (BIG deal for me to think first!) You must live in the south Windsor/Manchester area! All of my family is up there! I graduated from CCSU
I am with a few others and getting refocused. I am starting today committed to measuring my veggies again, no more eyeballing. Counting my water and making this work.
I placed my very first order with Nashua nutrition last night, I checked with my clinic, and they are still building up their stock and I want more variety than they are able to offer! Although thanks to the recipe ideas on here it has been do-able.
I really want to be close to goal weight (size) by christmas, so here I am
