Resist the Halloween Candy!

I hope no one has a bowl of candy sitting next to them today, but in case you will be tempted.. grab a pack of chocolate soy puffs or make yourself a chocolate drink with a little Splenda to get through it!!

I bought candy I can't stand to put in my trick-or-treat bowl, and it's been sitting here for three weeks without me touching it once. I'm proud of myself!

Good luck everyone!

OMG! At school today one of my students gave me a bag full of treats. Yikes! I even opened it but put it right back. Phew! That was close but I was actually planning on cheating the whole afternoon. Luckily I didn't. Let's hope I get through this. Good luck everyone!!!

I have an enormous amount of candy in my house which I bought for my little trick or treaters but I bought all the cheap nasty stuff so I'm not even remotely interested.

Might be more of problem tonight when my children come home with chocolate. But I will resist.

I have a big bowl of mini chocolate bars and lifesaver suckers out for my customers. I want one, but I'm not going to eat any of it!

Hubby is in charge of treat or treaters and buying the candy. I had my splurge already! My IP choc caramel bar! YUM! No suffering here! Just adjusting my attitude to realize that a serving of candy does NOT equal the whole darn bag!!!! Yes, I have eaten a whole bag of trick or treat candy and had to go get another one for the kiddies

I am saving my restricted food " choc raspberry bar" when I go trick or treating with my toddler.

Hot tea and GUM!!! And my WI is tonight!!! And Wuv and Rainbows success is sooooo motivating and inspiring. That damn candy isn't worth it!!!

So far so good. Boy am I glad this is over!!! Congrats to all of you who were able to resist. And I didn't even have my restricted yet.

I kept thinking of those two!!!

Argh - This is harder than I expected! I bought my candy two weeks ago, put it in the pantry, and haven't even thought about it . . . . but an hour ago, when I had to open it and put it in the bowl, I wasn't prepared for the smell :). Not really tempted, though; my WI is tomorrow morning, and I do not want to mess up 4 perfect weeks by giving in to one impulse!

On the bright side, this is the first Halloween that I haven't eaten 2-3 bags by myself, well before Halloween ... . . Heck, the savings probably paid for four days of IP food :)

If worse comes to worse, I think we're much better off having an extra packet or even a restricted as opposed to diving into the candy. I saved my restricted for when the kids were eating their spoils:)

Halloween OP - CHECK
Thanksgiving OP - ?
Christmas OP - ?

WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

Suggestion for those who have kiddos with Halloween candy at home: a game called "switch witch." Ask your kids to choose a certain # of candies to keep, and to give up the rest in exchange for a "surprise." It can be anything -- going to a movie, a new matchbox car, a book, crayons, etc. It works really well in our house. We ask the kids to sacrifice their candy on Halloween night, with a tangible prize delivered from the "switch witch" this morning. The sacrificed candy is thrown away, everyone's health benefits, and temptation is kept at bay!

I have been back on track hard core for about a week and a half now. I have had no urge to eat any of my kids candy. I ended up having two restricted yesterday on accident. I was starving and didn't have anything else in the car. But I still stayed away from the candy. This is a first for me.
