It's called "Extend bar" at Rexall pharmacy and it says it has ONE net carb. It tastes chewy like an "eat more" candybar

Here are the stats
Cal: 150
Fat: 3g
Carb: 21
Protein: 11

THE BOX ADVERTISES THIS-- Does it sound too good to be true???
Net Carb calculations: 21 g - 5g fibre -6g sugar alcohol - 5g uncooked cornstarch, - 4g glycerine = 1 net carb
I stick with carbs, not net carbs and I would not pick something with that many carbs. Someone on here, some time ago, mentioned try to not have more carbs than grams of protein. Sounds like a good rule. Just my opinion.

Hi y'all. Tomorrow is my second weigh in and I did well. However, I am having problems with the big C. I am eating spinach everyday and took some miralax. Is this something that my body will get over soon?

I did SLOW walks 2.5mile @ ~22min/mile pace my first 8 weeks of IP (walks to the park with my son), then quit walking and I switched to Bodypump class 3x/week at ~50%-75% what I lifted before. I was running ~3miles 2-3x/week and doing Bodypump 3x/week pre-IP.

After reading all the post about hormones and fat loss, that may just be my problem. My patience is sooooo thin. This is not good when you are homeschooling two very strong willed little girls Also my husband is in New Jersey for a job interview. (We have lived in the same city for 40 years.) So, I maybe a little more stressed than I realized. At least now I don't feel totally crazy.

Today was WI12 0lb and 1/2" loss. I have been 100% OP. I am not discouraged though. I know it works and will be at my goal by New Year's. No weight loss resolution this year!!!

There are LOTS of conversations about the big C - it's pretty common. Spinach is high in iron, which in some people causes C - you may want to try switching your veggies up. I have a cup of Smooth Move senna tea in the morning, which seems to help keep things going

I was but not so much anymore. All systems have settled down. The worst part was I was waking up super hot in the wee hours
It seems to have resolved in the last few weeks.

WI this morning and I am down 2.7lb, and missing 3.5 inches! It's madness

I pulled a couple of dresses out of the back of my closet last night - one that has been my "go-to" dress for the last few years was hanging on me like a curtain. Another dress that I couldn't zip all the way up just a few weeks ago fits like a glove now! I also found a hot little purple lace dress that I think I wore twice before I got pregnant with the elder DS - it's a LARGE and it fits great (with a little shapewear! LOL).
Congrats! And best wishes on employment-change success!

Default Goals and Sizes

After reading through all the closet shopping posts I think one of my first mini goals will be to get to a size for which I don't already own clothes, pretty much anything below an 18 will do it.

The second thing that I wonder about is how small people are when they are thin and how well completely not small I was, granted it was a long time ago but I was a size 12 when I got married I weighed 145 lbs and I was ok. I have a 14 yo whom I aspire to be as small as she is 5'7" 145 and a size 8, my 12yo is 5'5" 127lbs and wears a 6. My girls are healthy, but not scrawny and I think their naked bones wouldn't fit into a size 2, but maybe I just have a screwed up perception of how things are, or how they are supposed to be.

This was a big struggle for me too...not that i dont like veggies, its just that to me (also a man) I feel that 'real' veggies are potatos and they go with meat lol. Salad, asparagus, and most of the other stuff is for girls bwahaha...

Ok I have learned a LOT since then, but since all my normal regular veggies are not on plan had to learn to eat a lot of different stuff and looked to 'hide' them as well.

For me, I dont care if I eat the same thing everyday, im not big on variety so for the morning breakfast, I eat almost everyday the herb and cheese omelet with 1 cup of mushrooms and 1 cup of spinach, 2 cups for the day done!!

Lunch for me is normally a shake or bar, as I work in the field and this works best.

Supper is the protein with the last 2 cups of veggies, normally peppers, cabbage, asperagus, etc. Another way to hide since I have grown to love salads is hide a cup of spinach in a reg salad with supper, then 1 cup with your protein feels like only 1 cup a day. It works for me...

It seems to me that size standards have changed greatly over the years. I kept a pair of shorts that were a size 9 in the 1980s. In 2006 I was wearing size 4s and they fit rather loosely, but those size 9 shorts were still too tight. Your DD's 8 may not be that far off your wedding size.

I heard once that women tend to think they look worse than they actually do.
