No period?

I am on day 8 of the diet and I haven't gotten my period yet. It's about 5 days late now and it is always right on time. Has anyone experienced this?

IP will mess with your hormones big time!! TOM will be late or will come and never leave! As you lose fat, estrogen that was stored in your fat cells will be released into your bloodstream. You need to be careful too if you don't want to get pregnant!!

Yup - I went almost 2 full months without a period when I started IP. Two weeks later, I got it again. It's all the estrogen stored in our fat cells that messes with our cycles (and also why we need to be EXTRA EXTRA careful about preventing pregnancy on IP - the pill alone is not going to be as effective as before).
