Can we have the Coffee Mate non-dairy creamer?

If not, why?
Also would it be ok for me to take extra vitamins? GNC has a wellness line for women for hair skin and nails and one for exercising

check with your coach of course but I was told definitely no coffeemate of any kind. Also check with your doctor about the vitamins you are taking if you add any. You can actually harm your body with too many vitamins. You've lost so much!!!! How much do you exercise? I sued to exercise all of the time and now I'm being told light exercise only

I actually just starting exercising last week lol I hadn't done any besides walking to and from the metro. I have been doing elliptical for 30 minutes or weights, I have been alternating. I will ask my coach and see what they think :) I used to exercise for an hour everyday before IP Thanks Maezy1

The coffee mate (powder or liquid) is made with Hydrogenated Oils. In general this is bad for you. But I remember reading somewhere in the IP stuff (I think in the matinance phase) that "hydrogenated oils are a metablisim killer". Enough said. If that doesn't convince you maybe this article will.

Me too. That is one thing I wont go back to EVER! And I was one who liked a little coffee with my cream and sugar. LOL

lol that's me!! Im half cuban so at my house we drink "cafe con leche" which is espresso with milk and sugar....how i miss it lol but im learning to drink my coffee black

I actually do use .5 T of sugar-free hazelnut coffee-mate in my morning coffee in place of my milk. I don't think it's affected my weight loss, but we'll never know. Just my .02 doing alternatives.

that's another thing that gets me, things aren't bad in moderation. I have a full cup of coffee only in the morning and then throughout the day it's espresso and tons of water lol

Yeah, hydrogenated oils in all of the coffeemate products make them a no-no. I actually use the EAS Carb Advantage vanilla RTD shake or the Pure Protein RTD vanilla shake as creamer, with a little DaVinci SF flavored syrup (hazelnut or caramel) to mix it up a bit. I was a "have a little coffee with my creamer" before IP :)

Regarding extra vitamins - many people take Biotin along with the IP supplements (That's usually the primary vitamin in the hair & nails formulas). As far as a supplement for exercise, that would depend on exactly WHAT was in it. We take a pretty good range of vit/minerals and there is such a thing as TOO much of certain minerals.

Here is the label to the exercise supplements

OK so I looked over those vitamin supplements, here's what I see:

the Be-Enhanced is just an Omega 3-6-9 supplement. Omegas are one of the "optional" supplements that IP offers, I take a basic fish oil pill for my Omega 3's. So no issues there :)

The Be-Energized is B-3 and caffeine. Don't see a problem with this one, other than if you are taking a caffeine pill you will have to increase your water intake to offset the diuretic effect. Same as if you had more than one cup of coffee in a day.

The Be-Defined is the one I'd avoid. First, we are already taking a potassium supplement. Potassium is one of those minerals you CAN have too much of - it can cause issues with your kidneys. Between the supplements and the large amounts of protein we eat, we are already taxing our kidneys a little on IP (That is one reason it's not safe for people with existing kidney or liver issues). Also, the FORM is an issue - potassium chloride is harder for your body to break down. The IP supplement is potassium bicarbonate, which is MUCH gentler on your system as it is the broken-down version of potassium gluconate. Easier for your kidneys to process, and safer in light of the whole IP picture.

Thanks scorbett!! In that case it appears I am already taking the proper supplements so I will just stick to that :)
