Had a really rough 2nd week!
6 days in on this program I ended up with gout in my big toe. It was so bad that I couldn't drive my car and ended up staying home from last Tuesday until today. My toe finally felt better on Saturday and I had a great day, then Sunday I woke up with the worst headache of my life. Tried that salt, didn't work; tried Advil, didn't work; tried my migraine meds, STILL didn't work; ended up in the ER because I was getting sick almost every 30 minutes from the pain. Double ear infection and sinus infection, WTH? 3 bags of IV fluids and many other meds totally negated the weight I had lost for the week according to my scale. :( So my second week weigh-in, I had no change from my first!! So disappointing. :( I have stayed on plan every day except yesterday when I didn't eat until after 7pm because I was so sick.
Do you think all those IV fluids could have affected my weight loss? I'm really hoping I have an awesome loss next week!! Jodi |
YES! My God you have been through ****! You've been off your feet and then sick on top of it. 2nd week is always the lower weigh in from what I hear. Keep updating!

I guess it would depend on what was in the IVs. Probably had some kind of supplement in them to keep get your body back in balance. I think once you are able to get a full week in you will probably have a nice big woosh. Hang in there!!

Oh my goodness, that was beyond rough!
But I gotta tell you, your priorities made me chuckle (hope you don't mind). Whether you gained or stayed the same, it would mean nothing really, it can be easily made up - what's important is that you are healthy! :) |
I'm avoiding my home scale this week completely because I really want a big difference at my next weigh in. Drinking tons of water to help get this water weight back off! I did lose inches at my weigh-in though, so I guess it wasn't a total bust week. :)
