I'm just gonna stick to what I know this weekend and maybe indulge in a couple more of the pumpkin spice coffee/IP vanilla drinks I've been having for breakfast.
What's your recipe for the pumpkin spiced coffee??????? Love to have it!!

I mix the vanilla drink straight into a cup of coffee, then sprinkle pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon and mix it up. I used quite a bit of pumpkin pie spice so it tastes more like pumpkin pie. I think someone posted this recipe or something similar to it in a thread about Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes.

I made the mistake of putting it all in my shaker cup and having it try to explode on me. Even after reading about it happening to other people. I don't suggest trying to mix it that way LOL

Yes, the cranberries are not on P1, which is written on the recipe, but there is 'an exception for one day'. I believe all the recipes she gave me were from the Chef Verati cookbook. They had a heading/website that said 'Ideal Protein'.

I'm going to use the chicken soup for gravy. Just half a packet with way less water but it will help with the mashed cauliflower and the turkey. I have two dinners to go to so I'll split the packet up that way.

Then I'm making a chocolate bark for my dessert one night, and either the zucchini fake apple crisp or a rhubarb crisp with the oatmeal as a base.

Since I have the two dinners I might do mashed cauli one day and roasted rutabaga the next. We shall see! I'll also add something steamed - broccoli or asparagus, and I'll be good to go!

Thanks ladies - great ideas!

I have made the rutabega pumpkin pie previously and it was delicious so will do that again - and my DH and I love the celery root made into 'mashed potatos'... that way we are getting in the required veggies without using the potato puree, need to leave all 8 ozs of our protein fully dedicated to my turkey! LOL!

Off to look up the 'stuffing' recipe and start a grocery list for the cranberry sauce - will do the mushroom/garlic puree for gravy.... mmmmmm... can't wait to do this on Saturday - that way will have the next 2 days to have leftovers - already looking forward to making Rainbow's english muffin buns to get my turkey sandwiches in!

We've got this holiday down already! Have a great long weekend all!

I LOVE the Cranberry Sauce idea with the Gelatin! That's a great option for Phase 1! I like to make my own, so in Phase 4 will be able to use "the real thing" but will use Cranberries with Splenda.

Here's links to a few recipes:

Hi Fellow Canadian Ipeeps!

Thanksgiving will be alone this year with my lovely teen daughter. So we'll do chicken instead of turkey!

Any recipe for roasting? Removing of skin I assume? (kid will be upset with that one)

Also, yesterday I tried the mashed "potatoes" aka cauliflower-mashed-to-nothingness. And I hated the texture... it was like glue paste (not that I have tasted glue paste... Any suggestion to help?

Thank you LizRR for the gravy recipe! Very excited about that one!

I love your guy's creativity! We are going to Jasper with my mother in law so I plan to just bring my normal food in a cooler and then get meat and veg for our "thanksgiving" dinner out.

I'm not feeing left out at all, I'm looking forward to playing cards and visiting. Going to spice up my water with lemon and cucumber slices, I don't miss that OVER FULL GROSS feeling they will all have. It's ping o be a great day! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

I was just invited to another feast. At least this one will have fellow IPers. I think I will attempt to make a pumpkin spiced rhubarb treat. Oh, I wish I was a better cook. Cooking is scary at my house. Lol!

I went to my sisters today...a day ahead of the family feast

So glad I chose to not be there tomorrow, the fresh baked buns, pies in oven and stuffing could have been my downfall!!

Now if only I cooked anything remotely similar to Rainbow's goodness I would have something other than zucchini chips to eat tomorrow!

Oh well, Canadian Thanksgiving will be all the better this year, because I'm thankful for IP and my soon to be new & improved physique. (my fingers are smaller, so by default soon I have to start losing from my faithful belly)
