It depends on what you ate and how much of it you ate. Normally it would take 3-5 days and it is possible to still lose weight not in Keotsis. Your best bet is to stick to the protocol 100%

I am sure he loss inches...tell him that the scale is ONLY a number....ask him...is he feeling better? are his clothes looser?...Smile and tell him YOU see a difference and you Love him then give him a big hug and kiss!...tell him you are PROUD of him and what he is doing and that together y'all are making a solid change in y'all life

Wuv, I couldn't have said it any better! I've been the more discouraged one in the diet and whenever I get those down days my husband really makes the effort to cheer me up and make me stay OP. I may not show my appreciation of him that much when I'm wallowing, but then I follow his advice and hang in there and pretty soon things get better. Your husband is lucky to have you.

It took me a while to get to ketosis, too. I think I shifted into it on my 6th day. Keep at it and you'll surely achieve it within the week. Some just take longer than others, still, it's doable.

Well if I had a hubby I guess he would be lucky...lol...Looks like you have a very supportive one which is GREAT. I am sure you show him appreciation in little things that you do for him. Take care of what you have :)

i'm very discouraged, ive been slowly weening myself off ideal protein because i cant afford and it taking what i learnt and using that.

However the scale has jumped 5lbs in the past few days. very disapointing, i feel like it has taken over my life and i will gain everything back that ive lost. im discouraged and feel like ill never completely get off this diet and eating healthy in my own way without gaining all the weight back!

Don't be discouraged....there could be a reason for your body retaining water. Remember it takes eating 3500calories to GAIN 1 lb....just stay focused, don't worry about that scale!!!

I know there are a lot of hardcore 100% IP dieters out there and this is by no means meant to offend them, but perhaps you can start considering alternatives? It will be tougher since your IP coach can't support you if you're not using their products, but it will be lighter on the wallet. We all know how it feels to try making ends meet and I don't think anyone in this forum would frown upon you wanting to lose weight less expensively.

I would definitely look into the alternatives. You can do this!

There are some of us that are Pure 100% IP products but we also know that some can't afford it. I am not against anyone following the protocol using alternatives, its all about getting healthy, that is the only thing that concerns me. I support anyone who is going through a lifestyle change for the better of themselves and their families. If you have been around long enough to see post I have done, You have seen that I support EVERYONE no matter which program they are following :)
