Morning everyone! It's a cool day in Chicago, Fall has finally arrived. It's nice to be able to have the windows open, if just for a short time..too cold for me. I'm already in jeans and a sweatshirt!

Have a great day!

I am new here. I got my packets and all yesterday, and will start the diet tomorrow (Friday) so that my first difficult days would happen over the weekend. Hopefully by Monday I'll be functional enough to go to work. Or I might take couple of days off...

I am 42 years old and weigh 230 lb. I have minimum 80 lbs to lose. I have been steadily gaining weight since 19 years old, except that within the past 8 months I gained 30 pounds, which is not "steady" but rather an alarming jump. It happened while trying to diet...not only I didn't lose any weight but gained 30 lbs!!

Basically my eating is out of control, I am out of control, and so I am ready to take this step. I like about this diet the fact that my own decisions (which I don't trust) are taken out equation and I know precisely what I have to eat, how much, how it should be prepared, and when.

Let's hope for the best!

Howdy, it's been a few months. I just dropped off after my mom died in June. Thankfully I didn't really put any weight back on more than about 2 lbs (which still sits me at where I was according to my signature). Trying to do this again as of this week!!! And very discouraged that the scale has not budged at all the past 3 days (100% alternative, I weigh at home).

Molly,

I have been to York! Love that eastern coast of England. Whitby, Robin Hood Bay areas. I went to high school in England.
Anyway, great WI last time, I had been meaning to say, and I love the car. My husband had a 66 baby blue mustang when I met him. I believe I fell for the car- before I fell for him. Haha, a lot of water has gone under that old bridge.
Have a great day, all!

Good Morning all. I started last Thursday and have about 83 lb. to lose. I have steadily gained weight over 17 years with having three children, one with special needs. I tried so many times to lose weight and failed. But, it's time to take care of myself so I can be here for many years for my son.
Today was my first WI and I lost 7.8 lb. I'm so excited to be here!

Good morning! Did anyone happen to catch the Today Show this morning? They had a zucchini noodle and pesto recipie that I think could be tweaked for IP! I make zucchini noodles all the time, but I could use some help with the pesto! Does anyone have a recipe? I don't have time (watching 3 kiddos under 18 months...ahhhh!) or I would look through Rainbow's recipes.

Good luck to everyone just starting or restarting the program. You made the best decision! IP works and gets easier with everyday!

You will do great! I started on September 1st and have already lost about 10 lbs! The diet is restrictive, but easy to follow. I only felt hungry the first 3 days or so. Once your body goes into Ketosis, you feel just fine!

Good Luck!!

Welcome to the new folks! This program really is awesome, and this forum has a ton of great advice on how to make it work for you. Ask questions, try new things, and you'll do great!

Still riding high after my WI yesterday - my sister in law asked me to go to the mall with her today so I'm debating whether I want to invest in some new clothes now, or wait. I'm tempted to pick up a few nice pieces in the next size down - I have total confidence I will be there before too long!

The laundry pile is getting ominous, no matter how fervently I pray to the laundry fairies they never seem to make it to my hamper :/

I am so proud of myself. Why?

Because yesterday was my first 100% OP day in well...months. I resisted ice cream Tuesday night, and pizza and cheese bread yesterday! I'm so proud. I just have to remember that cheese is off-limits. And fruit. Got in the habit of eating that, got to get out.

And Iowa is cold today! Only 55F...better than 95F but still freezing!

Bright side, besides being OP, I get to see my man this weekend! YAY!!
