  • Quote: Mmm - chili packets are good... especially if you saute some veggies and add to the mix.
Oh...I didn't think about that, but I just might have to do that today. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you so much for sharing your emotions! your effort is SPECTACULAR and you are definitely getting the results! You must be so proud
  • Quote: Maybe your goal could be a certain clothing size? I don't know if that's actually the best route but for me it's easier to think I have to lose five pants sizes than eighty pounds.
Sydney, I totally agree - a goal of clothing size makes so much more sense to me (now that i am in sight of Maintainence.) I had originally thought I wanted to be 10 pounds less - but the type of weight i have lost has gotten me to a size 4! 10 pounds less would be too small. I realize that is is not about the number, but how you feel.

now it is time to exercise and tone. starting with yoga and step aerobics - just to kick the muscles awake.
  • Quote: My allergies are awful! Does anyone know if the body responds negatively to nasal steroids...specifically omnaris? I know oral steroids can delay loss.

My coach seemed to be anti any medicine.....but this is not practical during Missouri allergy season!
MrsCW- -i hope you are feeling better soon. I have been living on nyquil and the like for 2 days - balancing it out by not having a higher carbed restricted. Hoping it's all gone for the week - On wednesday I am going on a yoga retreat for 3 days (a gift from co-workers) and I would prefer the sneezing be over!

    Have a great IP afternoon.
  • Quote: Attention!!!

If anyone was looking for the whoosh fairy she just left. My WI was 4.2 pounds. For someone who is over 60 and struggles to average 2 lbs a week, this is celebration time.

    Whoo-hoo

I am now really in sight of onderland.

With this, I have lowered my goal as I still have a lot of flabby fat and my BMI is still horrible. I have very large bones, so I'm never sure what it should be.

Have a great OP day. It's worth staying 100% OP
    Molly
    Wow!!! Congratulations!!!

  • Quote: So sorry for the loss of your aunt :-( Good job being strong!
    Thank you!!
  • OMG! I made something yummy today! I prepared my potato puree as a tortilla this morning and for lunch, I cut it into wedges and put them in the oven at 400 degrees. I turned them probably after 10 minutes. And voilą! Super good tortilla chips that I ate with a bit of salsa. Mmmmm!
  • Wingnut... That is fantastic!!! I'm anxiously awaiting your onederland announcement!

Wuv... I just loved your video. So happy for you and the amazing progress you've made!
  • Quote: Happy Saturday! Down another 2.4lbs and trying out a tomato basil soup "pizza" for dinner! Have a great weekend!
I for one would love to know how this turned out. Good enough to share a recipe? I miss pizza.
  • Wuv, I should tell you something... last week when I was still debating if I was going to do IP, your u tube videos came up and your videos are what gave me the final push to give a shot. Thanks for sharing your story and for all your encouragement.

It's really been a couple of pretty good days for me this weekend.

Friday morning started out with me getting ready for work and wondering if I could fit into my biggest pair of Levi's. (Being a midwestern/country girl, outgrowing Levi's was traumatic when that's all you wear!) So I started rummaging in the closet and came up with a pair of 24's. They fit!!! Still a little snug, not bad enough that I didn't wear them to work!

Next, my boss's son's cross country team was having a dinner at her house on Friday night so she spent Friday morning at home cleaning and getting ready, which included baking chocolate chip cookies. She texted me a picture of them. I said that's not even nice! (She didn't know I was doing IP, and she's a stick.) So when she comes strolling in around noon, she comes in my office with a bag of cookies. Now I've never met a chocolate chip cookie that I didn't like, but I said, ohhhhh, thank you, but I can't have them. Wound up telling her a little about what I was doing and she happily removed the cookies from my desk.

Then Saturday was my day to work at my part-time job. Basically a receptionist at a retirement home, so it's sitting at a desk, answering phones. Before IP, the whole day (13 hours) was a feeding frenzy. Big soda, McDonald's, Cheetos, Ho-ho's, Reese's, pizza or Chinese, whatever sounded good on my way to work that morning. I stayed 100% all day! Wasn't really hungry or bothered by it. Definitely progress for me!!!
