Headache
Yesterday was my first day. I was doing really well until about noon. Started to get a headache. Tried the sea salt and water....no help. Took some Tylenol.....still no relief. by 6:00 pm my stomach was queasy and head was trobbing. In bed by 6:30. I slept for 12 hours getting up a couple of times for tylenol. Did not have dinner last night because I felt so bad. I did drink all my water and then some.
Today is better. Ate my breakfast and took my vitamins. I still have a headache.....have already taken sea salt and water. It is not as bad but I can feel it starting to ramp up. Does anyone know if there is something else I can do to get rid of or control the headaches? Any suggestions would be great! Kim |
It's likely from carb withdrawal and should only last your first 3-4 days. Hang in there. It does get better...

Try to make sure you eat everything, even if you don't feel like it. I found aleve works best, but eating extra salad helps. As does a little more fat, so choose fattier meats for the first few days to help get ketosis going. Dr eades of protein power has a good blog that explains all this very well.
It will go, but you may be fuzzy and have the headaches for a few days. Stick with it. Once they go you will feel great. |
My headaches lasted until day 4 so stick with it! Just keep pumping the water!

you could try an extra pot/cal vitamin, that worked for me

Thanks for all the responses and suggestions. Have been taking it easy this morning. Ate my lemon poppyseed bar, took a long hot bath, ate my chicken soup and am now working on my cumcumbers tossed in EVOO and Ms Dash Lemon Pepper.
Luckily I am feeling much better. Yesterday my son was playing football so I was out in the hot sun for about 3 hours which probably did not help. Thanks again Kim |
