Don't worry, i'm one of those that LOVES ketchup on eggs. I keep the heinz reduced sugar kind stocked and like to use it as a base for homemade barbecue sauce. I honestly can't tell a difference and i would rather avoid the high fructose corn syrup that's in regular ketchup regardless of being on IP. I do only use it one tablespoon at a time though. Much to my dismay...

After reading this thread, I went right out to buy the Heinz 1 carb ketchup. Ending up leaving my wallet at home, but I was bound and determined, so I went back and purchased it.
THANK YOU to the original poster for bringing this incredible find to light. haha! Note to others looking for it: The Heinz bottle label is "Reduced Sugar", with the words in white on a blue ribbon label. It was a 13oz bottle at my grocery. |
After finding this recipe (way back when I was on Atkins), I make it myself. Less expensive!

FYI President's Choice's Blue menu is low carb too! And cheaper than Heinz!

I need to find it! Our grocery store use to carry it and hasn't since I have been on IP. I found one not too bad in the health food area (not WF) but it's still not as good.
Hubby doesn't like ketchup much (where as I LOVE IT) and doesn't see the problem with the other ones we have! |
