Muscle cramps??

Not sure if there's a topic about this, but since I started IP two weeks ago I have been getting really bad charlie horses in my calf muscles in the middle of the night. Has anyone else had this problem? I also find that I get a lot more muscle spasms. I drink tons of water, always have, if anyone has experienced this how have you resolved it? It's not a fun experience! :(

Haha...I was going to start a thread on this. Ive been on IP for 6 days and had really bad cramps. Im drinking lots of water and taking cal-mag suppliments and a multi vitamin. They are really bad cramps and long lasting...

I have suffered with this too. What helps me is extra potassium, make sure you get your salt in and I will drink some pickle juice if the cramps wake me up or a shot of organic apple cider vinegar. Good luck, I know they are not fun.

I get muscle cramps too!!! I am in maintenance and still drink lots of water etc, but in the middle of the night I get cramps so bad in my calf that I wake up screaming sometimes and scare my husband.

I love pickles.... maybe I will try the pickle juice trick and see if it helps.

Take an extra potassium calcium pill and the pickle juice is a good thing also. Both work for me.

Make sure you are taking your potassium & sea salt! My coach said I could double my potassium if needed.

This topic is included in a list of possible side effects my coach gave me. They suggest taking an extra potassium pill for a few days.

Thanks I will try taking an extra potassium!

Yep, I was getting them in my sleep last night too.

I had the same thing. I take an extra potassium and put some salt under my tongue that helps right away. I would drink pickle juice but that gets me in trouble:devil:

Started taking my potassium before bed and haven't had a problem since.
