New dehydrator

I'm picking up my new dehydrator and some kale. Any help w/ making kale chips? Oil no oil? Any other recipes that would be good? I tried a search but didn't get good results.
Thanks-April

Kale Chips
Ingredients

» Kale
» Olive Oil
» Sea Salt
»
Instructions

1.Tear the kale into small pieces setting the thick ribs and stems aside.
2.Lightly toss the kale with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt to taste.
3.Spread the kale pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet.
4.Bake at 300 for about 10-15 mins. Watch them closely. You want them crispy but if they turn brown they will taste bitter.
5.Remove from the oven and enjoy!

Okay-- so I need clarification because the Kale I looked at was just leafy stuff with thin stalks. Am I making these chips from the LEAF part?

Just the leaf part - right. I have not done kale chips in my dehydrator, but I usually don't use any oil when I'm dehyrdrating stuff - zucchinici, jicima, egglplant, etc... I'd just add some salt, garlic - whatever you like, and go for it!

do they need to be wet to get the seasoning to stick to it while dehydrating or just sprinkle on top and they'll stick automatically while dehydrating?
Thanks for all input, all the recipes I found were for the oven so didn't want to follow those just in case.

Myrecipe
2 teaspoons of sea salt
chili powder
lemon juice table spoon of olive oil
don't skip the lemon juice..
I use half a lemon I tried lime did not like it!

There already is moisture in whatever you're dehydrating - I've never had to wet anything to get salt, garlic powder, whatever to stick. You may need to experiment a bit to see what works best for you...
