I bruise really easily as well. I didn't even think it was correlated to weight loss. hmm..

I moved to a new house this weekend and it looks like someone took a baseball bat to my arms and legs. Was there ever any conclusions as to why some people are bruising more easily on this diet? I asked my coach, but she didn't know. I am fine adding an additional supplement like Vitamin K, but I need to know what I should be adding... Help please...

I am finding I bruise easily too, but NEVER thought it would be related to my diet.
On a side note, I wonder what happened to all these former IP users. |
Number 7 and Sunflower40 - are you taking all the recommended supplements? I know someone who had the same problem and it was due to them forgetting to take the supplements all the time. It got better after she started taking them daily again.

I've been bruising easily since week 3. At one point, I had petechiae - small, pinpoint bleeding under the skin. Sometimes my underwear band gives me a bruise, and, no, they aren't too tight. Yesterday I noticed that my watchband had given me a bruise. I take all the supplements and have spinach at least once a day, so I can't figure out what's going on. (I'm doing alternative IP without a coach.)

I noticed my bruising has improved greatly since starting my reboot over two weeks ago. My legs were covered with them before starting and now I don't even see one. I am taking the Ideal Protein Potassium, Multivitamin, Calcium Magnesium, and Omega 3's. Perhaps I was deficient in something prior to starting.
If any of you are doing alternatives, I would really look into the quality and values of your supplements. |

Found an interesting article (take all things on the net with a large dose of salt, but Mercola's a well respected organisation and therefore I have faith in the truth of what they post) that you may be interested to read:-
Bruising Easily. As always, if it is a condition that goes on for longer than an adjustment period, get a blood test done to check for anything awry. :) |
