slip up!!!

Hi all,
I was absolutely 100% OP for the entire week. . . until last night. I went to a close friend's wedding and wound up drinking a glass of champagne and eating a little bit of cheese. How long will this set me back?? Anything I can do to undo the damage??

Thanks for your support!!

Hi! Like you, I'm a newbie here, am on Week 2, Day 3 myself, but I also have had slip ups like two days ago when my hubby and I went to Costco and I ended up eating a quarter of sausage and burger patty, both sweetly marinated. Not to mention the day I unknowingly ate 3-5 pieces of Trident sugar-free cinnamon gum... I don't know how long the set back is exactly but I've seen enough posts here to say that if you slip up, you just have to get back on the plan again, regardless. Sometimes coaches will encourage you to eat only the unrestricted just to get you back on track.

It happens - but the most important thing is to start today fresh! You can't undo what's been done other than getting 100% back on plan and being aware of what made you slip - there is definitely a mental portion to this diet, not just a physical/food change but a change in your way of thinking. That can take time, and mistakes that we learn from.

Good luck!

Exactly, just get back on track and dont beat yourself up over it......
I started maintenance July 29th the day I went on holiday for 12 days wasnt really on plan for about 10 of those days and had a fantastic time did gain 7 pounds but got on plan as soon as I got home and today is day 3 and have already lost 4 of those pounds, its all about getting right back on plan its something we have to always remind ourselves we are going to slip off now and again, its part of life.............you are going to be fine, dont worry.............best of luck...:)

My coach said that it was ok to have that exact type of gum! Just break it into 1/2 piece. Don't have any more than 2 pieces per day. Is this wrong info.?:?:

My coach said that I was allowed to have Trident gum and to treat it like Splenda, or an extra like that.

Hi, A slip up will set you back three days. Just get back on track asap and you'll be all set. There's a link called something like "the real price of cheating" and it goes into more detail answering your question. Check it out if you want.

Be well - :)
