day five, zero lost!

hi everyone,
a quick update-- i'm on day five and haven't lost an ounce. i know results are varied, but it seems like week one is the biggest weight loss week for most people! i'm 100% OP and haven't cheated a single time. is it just taking my body a bit longer to kick into gear?? :?:

so proud of all of you. reading the threads every day always makes me feel much better!!

This sounds familiar...Stay strong! The first week is the HARDEST! You are probably just getting into ketosis, check out this recent IPer...And check out her week #2!

LOL, yes it does... that was my post above. If you are doing everything you should be: eating all of your packets, protein, veggies, WATER...vitamins. You will lose weight. Are you exercising? From my experience, 5 days isn't long enough, your body is getting used to a new way of eating and considering all that is going on inside your body right now, it is too early. I felt like you did, I was VERY discouraged. Give yourself a time limit to see what IP can do. Give yourself a set time, say a month and see the changes from when you first started IP. So far i've lost 10 pounds, in 3 weeks. Almost no loss the first week. (.6). It will be ok...it'll work!!

I lose weight much more slowly, it seems, than others on here. Everyone's body is different. Stay with it, and try to find the non-scale victories. The weight will follow.

I also decided to forgo the restricted foods for now....knowing I can always pick one up and eat it if I plan for it.

Hang in there! Was in the same boat -- also very discouraged. Then on the day of my first weigh-in, I lost about 1.4 lbs. Such a small number but I found out that I also gained .6 lean muscle mass! It was then that I finally accepted that we all lose differently, and I was encouraged by the 1.4 lbs loss! Maybe your body is like mine and it just takes longer for us to register any significant weight loss. Don't you worry, we'll ALL get through this together! :)

My problem is the scale is going down but the inches arent...this has been the hardest thing to accept. Im not sure if it has to do with being measured by different people each week
