I get this too, but since I've had issues with passing out in the past due to low blood sugar, I quickly react and lay down. You need to keep the blood from pooling in your feet. Make sure you're getting plenty of water - I increased my water intake to 150-160 oz (not including a 20 oz coffee and herbal tea every day), and that has helped me. I've also gotten a bit more generous with the salt and have pickles frequently - I have low blood pressure on top of low blood sugar...although, my blood sugar hasn't been below the 60's in years.
You might want to talk to your coach about having a 4th packet on days when you feel dizzy. |
Hey Thirteen - I think you're exactly right. I noticed yesterday that I typically do not feel the dizziness after my dinner protein which is typically when I add in my daily salt. I went ahead and threw a little salt in with breakfast and lunch today and did not notice the dizziness as severe. I also doubled up on potassium yesterday and today which seems to have helped. Water is never a problem though - keeps me fuller through the day :D
