Liz, you look amazing!
Also like the explanation you provided. My experience: I phased out for a special European trip in May/June. So was on Phase 1 and then did phase 2 for 2 weeks, phase 3 for 2 weeks and then left for France & Italy. I did not eat sensibly in an IP way. I had everything you might expect; lots of french bread, butter, full fat yogurt, cheese, fatty meats, creme brulee, chocolate mousse, lots of sauces on lots of things, chocolate croissants, chocolate this and that...lots of wine - part of the trip was a food and wine cruise. I came back up 3.2 pounds and I lost it all the first week. In my heart, I believe it was proper phasing off which allowed my body to metabolize the outrageous amount of calories, carbs, fats I was consuming daily. I believe this diet reset my metabolism by resting the pancreas. I'm in my 50's, menopausal, have thyroid issues. Yes, I was walking a lot daily too. But I'm sold on the importance of phasing off. Hope that helps. |

And yes, everything is about fat, carbs and protein. LOL! Many find that they can choose fat over carbs. Carbs don't seem to taste as good as you remember. One day I was so excited about some cold pizza that was in the fridge. It was awful. I was soooooo disappointed. |

Yeah i can pass on the fruit, even though i love fruit, mine are cheese, and crackers! That's my biggest weakness.. i love me a wheat thin! LOL Oooo love cold pizza. But i just love pizza in general LOL there is nothing better then cold pizza for breakfast .. funny how we all have our thing. I'm just ready to get the weight off so i can enjoy life again. Seriously... life sucks on this diet LOL but i deal with it anyway. :) |
